McElroy to Faithful Catholics: Y'all a bunch a haters!

Over at The Catholic Herald, John Allen is reporting that San Diego's Robert Cardinal McElroy has sleuthed out the real motive for the strong American pushback against Fiducia Supplicans: It's because, so deduces Sherlock McElroy, of “an enduring animus among far too many toward LGBT persons”.

In my last Underground, I predicted that before they're done Team Francis will be calling us "homophobes" for defending the teaching of the Catechism of the Catholic Church on this one. Well, it looks like McElroy is riding point.

By the way, McElroy did not apply the same deductive sleuthing where the African Bishops' opposition to FS is concerned, no doubt for fear of outing himself as a racist, too. Because I think we all know why His Eminence is so defensive of this truly cataclysmic Declaration that has torn the Catholic Church in half:
