This July, I will be joined an international effort to raise money for the Missionaries of the Holy Cross in Tanzania — a traditional Catholic mission, a school (for boys and girls), and center of pre-seminary learning. To raise much-needed funds for the Mission, I have pledged to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa – the tallest free-standing mountain in the world. I have also pledged to raise at least $5000 for the Mission by mid-July, and I’m asking you to sponsor me. Bishop Schneider’s Endorsement of The Climb

Dear Readers of The Remnant:

I would like to recommend to you wholeheartedly the Missionaries of the Holy Cross in Tanzania. I know this religious Community since many years and visit them regularly. It is a truly inspiring little Community with an exemplarily religious life of prayer, of fidelity to the true Catholic Faith, with the love and esteem of the liturgical tradition of the Church, with a great love for the poor and especially a catholic missionary zeal for the salvation of souls and the formation of authentic catholic priests.

I recommend also various initiative for supporting the Missionaries of the Holy Cross in Tanzania, as e.g. the climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and the pilgrimage to the Mission in Tanzania with the Confraternity of Our Lady of Fatima. This initiative will be also an effort to raise much-needed funds for the Mission and the priestly formation there.
