Canadian Senate Passes Bill Allowing Canadians to Kill Canadians

When is Canada going to apologize to the Nazis?

This just in from LifeNews.com: "Canada’s Senate passed Bill C-14, the euthanasia and assisted suicide bill. The Senate first passed Bill C-14 a few days ago with seven amendments from the original bill that was passed in the House of Commons on May 31. Yesterday, the House of Commons removed a controversial amendment and a protective amendment in the Senate version of the bill and then sent it back to the Senate for approval.

"This morning the Senate considered an amendment that would have referred the terminal illness provision in the bill (natural death is reasonably foreseeable) to the Supreme Court of Canada, but that amendment was defeated.

"The controversial issue was the requirement that a medical or nurse practitioner could approve a lethal injection if the person’s “natural death is reasonably foreseeable.” Parliament insisted that this requirement remain in the bill while the Senate argued that the Supreme Court did not state that a person must be “terminally ill.”

"The final bill maintains that “natural death must be reasonably foreseeable.”

"I was disappointed that House of Commons withdrew the amendment that prohibited a beneficiary from participating in a persons assisted death or signing the person’s request for assisted death. This was an amendment that protected people from a greedy beneficiary or an unscrupulous family member. The final bill allows a beneficiary to participate in the act, even to lethally inject.

"The Senate then passed Bill C-14 by a vote of 44 to 28.  The response from parliament was to declare a summer recess. The bill that determines how Canadians will kill Canadians was passed on the last day of the parliamentary schedule in time for the summer recess. Bill C-14 now goes to the Governor General to be signed."  READ ARTICLE HERE

REMNANT COMMENT: Here we see 'enlightenment' in action. Since western societies decided they no longer needed God or HIs Church to help govern their peoples and maintain the common good, they have excelled in one area more than all others--death. They have become the most proficient killing machine in history, in fact, whether in the womb, the battlefield or the nursing home.

We hear much revisionist history these days about how evil were the societies of the 'dark ages' of Faith. Why, remember that big, bad Inquisition? Or how about those evil Crusades? And who can forget those ‘wars of religion’ where thousands died for NOTHING!  Frightful stuff!

Let's try a little thought experiment. Imagine for a moment that you know nothing, and for the first time in your life you're reading a history text about life in Catholic France, for example, back in the day:

By the end of the 11th century, the King of the Francs had developed war technology whereby he was able to wipe out hundreds of thousands of women and children in the process of destroying entire cities. It is estimated that his war machine claimed the lives of several million human beings during his reign. He waged wars, not because the kingdom was being attacked from the outside, but rather because he wanted to make the whole world safe for monarchy. And so all those who didn't want his rule received what amounted to a death sentence, as he sent his war machine across the globe to kill, murder and maim all those who disagreed with him.

But, wait. There's more!  Before the King’s reign had ended, he had passed laws whereby the people of France could also kill their own families, pretty much at will. So a son, for example, who stood to inherit his father's castle and lands, could legally behead his own father if he seemed to be committing patricide for compassionate reasons.  In fact, it is said that King of France had developed better means of killing large numbers of people than had ever existed in history. He encouraged mothers to kill their own babies, children to kill their parents, as he himself developed new and improved ways of exterminating millions around the world who were already alive and even more millions in utero.

This monarchical penchant for death had a contagious effect on society in general, with young people especially losing all respect for human life to such an extent that they regularly stabbed and killed their teachers, their friends, street rivals, and sometimes even those who just had better sandals than they had.

You get the picture? There is nothing Catholic-bashing revisionists can come up that even remotely compares in sheer horror to what the modern state is perpetuating on a daily basis. The Nazis came close. The Soviets came close. But in the ages of faith such institutionalized, life-killing barbarism had never entered into the minds of men. And yet we're the "enlightened" ones, and Christian our fathers the barbarians. We kill more people, we kill more efficiently, we kill more often. Clearly, we’re more sophisticated than they ever hoped to be.

At least that’s what we poor, dumbed-down morons would have our delusional selves believe. In reality, we have become the "enlightened" agents of the Light Bearer himself as we engineer a self-inflicted and suicidal chastisement such as the world has never seen.   But in our benighted little world of death and darkness—we have simply evolved.

Please God, don’t let us get us.
