THE REMNANT IS ON PILGRIMAGE

IN YOUR CHARITY, please keep our team here at The Remnant in your prayers as we head back to France for the Pentecost Pilgrimage to Chartres. This will be my 31^st anniversary as leader of Our Lady of Guadalupe U.S. Chapter, which means that the Pentecost Pilgrimage has been an important part of the life of The Remnant family for over three decades. And over that time, it has been a grace from God to see the Chartres Pilgrimage take on a life of its own, as it gradually became the largest and most important “meeting of the clans” in the world today.

On May 2, 2024, Rorate Caeli published a “Call for the Resignation of Pope Francis,” setting forth numerous crimes and heresies committed by Francis. Originally signed by seventeen reputable Catholics, the lengthy “Major Statement” concluded with the following:

“For you know, venerable brothers, that these bitter enemies of the Christian name, are carried wretchedly along by some blind momentum of their mad impiety; they go so far in their rash imagining as to teach without blushing, openly and publicly, daring and unheard-of doctrines, thereby uttering blasphemies against God. They teach that the most holy mysteries of our religion are fictions of human invention, and that the teaching of the Catholic Church is opposed to the good and the prerogatives of human society.” (Blessed Pope Pius IX, Qui Pluribus)

At the moment, the government’s contradictory approach to promoting natalist policies while permitting anti-life policies like abortion, and condoning anti-family LGBTQ+ ideologies would not augur well for the future of the country’s demographics, possibly fulfilling Elon Musk’s 2022 statements that Japan would “eventually cease to exist”.

When Catholics first become involved in pro-life work, they usually wonder why abortion is so difficult to eradicate. Why is it so hard to convince people not to kill their own children? What stops others from responding rationally to the well-reasoned argument in favor of life? In pursuing answers to those questions, many come to erroneously believe that, of all sins, abortion is the worst that can be committed. From this follows the pursuit of a ‘silver bullet’ which will potentially end abortion and restore man’s understanding of the value of human life.

Today’s reality doesn’t allow us any escape: things are as we see them. So the Savior’s statement that the “gates of hell” will not overcome the Church can only mean one thing: just as it happened during His first coming to earth, the faith revealed by the heavenly Father to Peter will remain unbeaten – until the end of the world – in those unknown and disregarded true Christians (disregarded by both Church hierarchs and political leaders).
