After all, that dramatic and fateful day was July 13 (United States time), the anniversary of one of Our Lady of Fatima’s apparitions, when the Mother of God showed the three Fatima visionaries a vision of hell.
Indeed, a wounded Trump, having narrowly escaped death, declared that his survival was nothing short of a divine intervention.
“Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers yesterday, as it was God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening. We will FEAR NOT, but instead remain resilient in our Faith and Defiant in the face of Wickedness,” Trump posted on his Truth Social account, as cited by Washington Examiner.
In an interview with the New York Post on July 14 and quoted by Russia Today (RT), Trump admitted that “I am not supposed to be here, I am supposed to be dead”, before adding that “many people are saying it’s by God I’m still here”.
While rival Joe Biden publicly denounced Crooks’ assassination attempt, other Trump-haters like Sebastian Hotz, a staff of German state television ZDF who regularly appears on Jan Böhmermann’s “ZDF-Magazin Royale”, voiced his regret that Trump did not perish.
“They are trying to shut Trump up and when they don't work out, they piss the public off so much that some loser picks up a gun,” Fico posited.
Moreover, CBS anchor Margaret Brennan and former staff in the Biden administration lambasted Trump for inadequately “lowering the temperature” in his statement following Crooks’ shooting, speaking of “retaliatory violence” from Trump supporters.
Across the Atlantic, left-liberal Hungarian group went to the extent of conducting a survey on when conservative Hungarian prime minister and Trump ally Viktor Mihály Orbán would be shot.
Notably, anti-globalist Slovakian leader Robert Fico, who himself was shot multiple times in May 2024, drew a parallel between the attempt on Trump's life and as well as that of his own in a post on Facebook, pointing out:
“They are trying to shut Trump up and when they don't work out, they piss the public off so much that some loser picks up a gun,” Fico posited, indicating that trying to shoot Trump was an imitation of the attempt on his own life.
“Now we shall witness speeches about the need for reconciliation, appeasement and forgiveness,” the Slovak leader went on, hinting that calls for “unity” in the aftermath of July 13 are means to distract the public’s attention from Trump-haters’ responsibility in inciting Crooks’ shooting.
Besides, Fico stated that if Trump’s assailant read various anti-Fico papers in the Slovakian language, he could have been prompted to attack Trump by the incendiary rhetoric of various anti-Fico newspapers to “‘make things right’ with the “disobedient former president of the USA.” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov declared:
“After numerous attempts to remove candidate Trump from the political arena – using first legal tools, the courts, prosecutors, attempts to politically discredit and compromise the candidate – it was obvious to all outside observers that his life was in danger.”
During an interview with Sputnik News, GOP House Representative Paul Gosar said:
“The constant comparisons of [former] President Trump to Hitler and the repeated calls over the last several years for stabbing, killing, poisoning, decapitating or shooting [former] President Trump serve as dog whistles to provoke and incite violence and very well may have fuelled this assassination attempt. We do know that in a widely reported call to hundreds of donors last week, Joe Biden boasted, ‘I have one job, and that’s to beat Donald Trump… it’s time to put Trump in a bullseye’.”
Likewise, Republican Ohio Senator J.D. Vance asserted in a statement posted on X.
“The central premise of the Biden campaign is that President Donald Trump is an authoritarian fascist who must be stopped at all costs. That rhetoric led directly to President Trump’s attempted assassination.”
Sean Davis, CEO and co-founder of The Federalist, reported that although Trump’s security detail had requested “beefed up protection and resources for weeks, but has been rebuffed time and again.”
Davis elaborated:
“Was Biden’s regime behind the attack, or did it deliberately do everything it could to allow it to happen?”
Echoing Davis’ sentiments, former Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson stated:
“It’s not crazy to think that there was something there, it was an effort to kill Trump, it wasn’t just a lone gunman.”
In a damning concession, Kevin Rojek, in charge of the Pittsburgh field office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, stated that it was “surprising” that Crooks was able to aim that many shots (reports have said Crooks fired as many as eight) without much difficulty, raising questions as to whether the July 13 shooting was an insider job.
The reality is that radical leftists detest what Trump claims to defend, even to the point of desperation.
Fico, Peskov, Gosar, Vance, Davis, Carlson, and Rojek are spot-on in their assessments.
Whether or not the July 13 shooting was an insider job by the Secret Service, the truth is that unhinged leftists have tried numerous times (sometimes even desperately) over the years to “assassinate” the former US president.
Before Trump won the 2016 presidential elections and assumed power, leftist mouthpieces like Vox and CNN were already unfailing in their efforts to assassinate Trump’s character, hurling epithets like “racist” and “bigot” at Trump. There are hundreds of publications on the Internet with inflammatory headlines such as the following:
“Fascism is everywhere on the march, and it’s Trump who sets the pace”
“Donald ‘Dictator on Day One’ Trump is an existential threat to our democracy”
“Why aren’t we talking about Trump’s fascism?”
Note that those culpable for such headlines tend to be the ones who are quick to blame “MAGA right wingers” for violence and “hate speech”, without doing soul-searching on their own provocative rhetoric.
Also, the leftist Barack Obama administration published an Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) in early 2017, accusing Russia of meddling in the 2016 elections that gave Trump a victory. Again, time has shown that these allegations were unfounded.
In the landmark NY v. Trump case, Trump was convicted of 34 felony counts in what the former US leader described as a “a rigged, disgraceful trial.” Similarly, numerous conservative voices have slammed the trial and questioned the legitimacy of prosecuting Trump.
Also reprehensible are attempts by leftist media outlets to gloss over Crooks’ assassination attempt.
For instance, AP News posted on X, stating:
“BREAKING: Donald Trump has been escorted off the stage by Secret Service during a rally after loud noises ring out in the crowd.”
USA Today released an article with the following headlines:
“Trump removed from stage by Secret Service after loud noises startles former president, crowd”
The Washington Post published a report with the headlines:
“Trump leaves rally after loud noises erupt”
If anti-life figures like Joe Biden or Kamala Harris were to be shot, leftists would be in an immediate frenzy, just like how they were during the Black Lives Matter (BLM) riots in 2020.
Yet leftists’ unfeeling reactions to Trump’s shooting are not entirely unsurprising.
We cannot expect those who advocate for the brutal killing and dismembering of unborn babies in the womb to show any vestige of sympathy for Trump whatsoever.
After all, Trump can be said to represent (to a certain degree) what is left of God-fearing, and conservative America.
Despite his seeming “softer” stance on abortion (which makes for another story), the presidential wannabe recently pledged his support for the pro-life activists who have been unjustly persecuted and imprisoned by the anti-God administration of Joe Biden. Strikingly, Trump alluded to the case of Catholic pro-lifer Paulette Harlow, who was arrested for allegedly breaching the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act when she tried to block access to an abortion clinic in Washington D.C.
The reality is that radical leftists detest what Trump claims to defend, even to the point of desperation.
We cannot expect those who advocate for the brutal killing and dismembering of unborn babies in the womb to show any vestige of sympathy for Trump whatsoever.
We cannot expect those who were behind the desecration, vandalism, arson, and other forms of destruction of Catholic statues and churches to commiserate with those bereaved after Trump’s shooting last weekend, except by a miracle of God’s grace. These leftists have no regard for Almighty God and His church, let alone have respect for Trump, a mere mortal.
We cannot expect those who thrive on lies and half-truths to portray what transpired on July 13 and in its aftermath in a manner that fairly reflects the issues at hand.
As conservative writer Rod Dreher put it, photographer Evan Vucci’s image of a wounded but undaunted Trump, fist raised, with the American flag in the background, will go down as one of the most iconic images in the chronicles of American (and world) history.
Elaborating, Dreher stated that Crooks’ attempt to murder Trump was symbolic of the Left’s incessant and indiscriminate assaults on conservative values and lifestyles.
In light of all the leftist hogwash (from the elites in Washington to their echo chambers in the media), those who still think conservative Americans are “conspiracy theorists” and claim that Biden and his fellow Democrats are the “good guys” are either living under a rock or seriously deluded.
