Traditional Catholicism Actually Does Have All the Answers to the Most Important Problems

If we wanted to compile a list quotations which could encapsulate the crisis in the Catholic Church and world today, we would do well to include the following from Archbishop Hélder Câmara (signer of the Catacombs Pact and a crucial influence on Klaus Schwab):

“It would shock many people if the Church came along giving the impression that I am the solution to every problem — I have the solution to every problem. No, we come only to try to collaborate with the world, not by throwing our weight around but by shedding a bit of light here and there” (Archbishop Hélder Câmara, quoted in the Archbishop Lefebvre Documentary, 39:00)

Like many of his progressive collaborators at Vatican II, Hélder Câmara’s “theological agenda” included an overt attempt to strip the Catholic Church of the authority and mission Our Lord Jesus Christ entrusted to it. Prior to the Council, Catholics knew that there was no salvation outside the Church (absent extraordinary circumstances). This fact is perfectly consistent with the mission that Our Lord gave His Church:

“Going therefore, teach ye all nations: baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you: and behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

Because God wants all souls to be saved, it follows naturally that He charged His Church with transmitting the truths and graces necessary for salvation.

Schwab and his fellow globalists could not have reached this point without the Vatican II revolution, and they cannot attain their ambitious goals unless that revolution continues. This is why Francis and his fellow miscreants accept all religions except Traditional Catholicism.

These last two lines in the Gospel of St. Matthew refute not only Câmara’s blasphemous rambling about the Church but also every single heresy we see from Rome today:

  • Contrary to Francis’s attacks on proselytism, the Church must convert and baptize all people.
  • Contrary to the toleration of sin epitomized by Fiducia Supplicans, the Church must teach all people to obey Our Lord’s moral teachings.
  • Contrary to those who promote a concept of evolving moral truth, Our Lord made it clear that He wanted His disciples to teach what He had already commanded, rather than something they and their successors would eventually discern based on changed circumstances.
  • Contrary to those who promote false ecumenism, which invariably promotes and endorses non-Catholic religions that insist that souls are saved by “faith alone,” Our Lord makes it clear that we must keep the commandments.
  • Contrary to those who suggest that Christian unity demands that the Catholic Church compromise with non-Catholic religions, Our Lord promised that He would be with the Church He established until the “consummation of the world,” which obviously forestalls any argument that the true Church would need to modify its beliefs to accommodate others.

Thus, if we accept the clear meaning of Our Lord’s words, we must logically reject not only Francis’s unholy efforts to destroy the Church but also the entire Vatican II revolution, which has been fueled by the illusory dreams of false ecumenism.

Critically, though, all of these conclusions that we can draw from the mission Jesus entrusted to His Church stand in the way of the globalist agenda heralded by Klaus Schwab, the man who was so thoroughly impressed by Hélder Câmara. Schwab and his fellow globalists could not have reached this point without the Vatican II revolution, and they cannot attain their ambitious goals unless that revolution continues. This is why Francis and his fellow miscreants accept all religions except Traditional Catholicism, which they despise and persecute.

We can even see that God, as a Loving Father, has Providentially allowed us to face worsening evils so that we will eventually wake up to the wicked consequences of abandoning His truth at Vatican II.

All of this might be cause for despair were it not for the fact that we were warned in various ways about these dark days of mass apostasy. As it is, though, each new work of persecution reaffirms that the pre-Vatican II popes were correct in warning against the acceptance of the anti-Catholic ideas — liberalism, modernism, false ecumenism — that have thrived since the death of Pius XII. If you accept these errors, they all insisted, the Church and world will suffer. This is what we have seen.

Given all of this, it is astonishing that today we still find so-called conservative defenders of Vatican II who insist that anyone who questions the Council is heretical or schismatic. Sure, they may concede, the Council’s documents were ambiguous, but they did not contain outright heresy. Even if we were to grant this mistaken belief that the documents themselves do not include heretical assertions, it is scandalous to defend a Council that so egregiously violated the norms set forth by Blessed Pius IX in Ineffabilis Deus:

“For the Church of Christ, watchful guardian that she is, and defender of the dogmas deposited with her, never changes anything, never diminishes anything, never adds anything to them; but with all diligence she treats the ancient documents faithfully and wisely; if they really are of ancient origin and if the faith of the Fathers has transmitted them, she strives to investigate and explain them in such a way that the ancient dogmas of heavenly doctrine will be made evident and clear, but will retain their full, integral, and proper nature, and will grow only within their own genus — that is, within the same dogma, in the same sense and the same meaning.” (Blessed Pius IX, Ineffabilis Deus)

There is no legitimate excuse for why the Council could not adhere to this simple standard. Those who claim that the Holy Ghost guided the Council as it made an absolute mockery of Catholic teaching — which we see so clearly in the Council documents — renew the offenses against God and prolong the misery the Mystical Body of Christ must endure until the Council’s errors are repudiated.

It is very simple: if God gave His disciples everything we truly need, then our task is to learn what God gave His disciples. Satan also knows it, which is why his minions do all they can to have us accept a new gospel.

We tend to lose sight of this fact that the defense of ambiguities (let alone heresies) opposed to God’s truth constitutes a profound offense against God. These offenses against God are amplified with the passing of time, as it becomes more clear that the errors of Vatican II have caused so much damage. We have no right to turn a blind eye to these offenses against God simply to preserve peace with the putative authority figures trying to destroy the Church.

We can even see that God, as a Loving Father, has Providentially allowed us to face worsening evils so that we will eventually wake up to the wicked consequences of abandoning His truth at Vatican II. This awakening is long overdo, especially considering the fact that Paul VI sounded the alarm so distinctly over fifty years ago, on June 29, 1972:

“Through some cracks the smoke of Satan has entered the temple of God: there is doubt, uncertainty, problematic, anxiety, confrontation. One does not trust the Church anymore; one trusts the first prophet that comes to talk to us from some newspapers or some social movement, and then rush after him and ask him if he held the formula of real life. And we fail to perceive, instead, that we are the masters of life already. . . We preach ecumenism and drift farther and farther from the others.”

Did this inspire a rejection of the false ecumenism Paul VI mentioned? Not at all — we have little or no indication that this stunning pronouncement inspired anything approaching an adequate rejection of the errors that caused so much harm to souls.

And so what does a Loving Father do when His children persist in their errors? As long as a father holds out hope that his children will reform their ways, he will often allow them to experience the detrimental consequences of their wayward actions. Persistence in error will lead to ever-worsening consequences. Like the Prodigal Son, who only returns after becoming aware of his great misery, it may take some children longer than others to return to the father.

Our Loving Father gave us another sign to help the blind see: two years after Paul VI announced that the “smoke of Satan” had entered the Church, Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre issued his famous “1974 Declaration” in response to the scandalous behavior of Paul VI’s apostolic visitors to the Society of St. Pius X seminary at Ecône. In that declaration, the saintly archbishop adamantly refused to take part in the Vatican II revolution:

“It is impossible to modify profoundly the lex orandi without modifying the lex credendi. To the Novus Ordo Missae correspond a new catechism, a new priesthood, new seminaries, a charismatic Pentecostal Church—all things opposed to orthodoxy and the perennial teaching of the Church. This Reformation, born of Liberalism and Modernism, is poisoned through and through; it derives from heresy and ends in heresy, even if all its acts are not formally heretical. It is therefore impossible for any conscientious and faithful Catholic to espouse this Reformation or to submit to it in any way whatsoever. The only attitude of faithfulness to the Church and Catholic doctrine, in view of our salvation, is a categorical refusal to accept this Reformation.”

Fifty years later, Archbishop Lefebvre’s SSPX remains the most important counterweight in opposition to the disastrous Vatican II revolution. Although Archbishop Lefebvre was certainly gifted in many ways, he was above all a man who wanted to serve God as well as possible and truly understood the words of St. Paul to the Galatians:

“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach a gospel to you besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema. As we said before, so now I say again: If any one preach to you a gospel, besides that which you have received, let him be anathema.” (Galatians 1:8-9)

Archbishop Lefebvre knew that his most important task was to do his part to ensure the faithful transmission of the unadulterated Catholic Faith. It is very simple: if God gave His disciples everything we truly need, then our task is to learn what God gave His disciples. St. Paul knew this, and so did Archbishop Lefebvre.

Francis, the globalists, and ultimately Satan want us to drink their poisoned gospel of a Catholicism without commandments; and these grotesque bullies tolerate almost everyone other than Traditional Catholics.

Satan also knows it, which is why his minions do all they can to have us accept a new gospel. This is the astoundingly visible supernatural battle we see more clearly now than ever: Francis, the globalists, and ultimately Satan want us to drink their poisoned gospel of a Catholicism without commandments; and these grotesque bullies tolerate almost everyone other than Traditional Catholics.

One of Vatican II’s progressive theologians, Edward Schillebeeckx, helpfully explained how he and his fellow enemies of tradition understand “toleration”:

“Substantially, tolerance is not without limits. Since tolerance is founded on respect for the freedom of the human conscience and draws its ethical meaning from this, it will also defend this freedom of conscience from unjust and violent attacks . . . The State itself is, therefore, obliged to oppose any propaganda or organization that threatens freedom of conscience. This is why in extreme cases tolerance can resort to the use of arms.” (quoted in Atila Sinke Guimarães’s Will He Find Faith, p. 37)

This sickening view of “toleration” plays such a dominant role in our dystopian world today, where there is toleration for everyone except those who will not embrace lies. When the work of Satan is so dangerous and visible — as it is now — we must do all we can to discover what God wants us to know and do. Going back to the words of Hélder Câmara (Klaus Schwab’s inspiration), we can see the simple answer that would shock many people today, including most Catholics:

“It would shock many people if the Church came along giving the impression that I am the solution to every problem — I have the solution to every problem.”

The Church has the solution to almost every problem we see today because the worst problems we face have come from abandoning what God entrusted to His Church. The Traditional Catholicism of St. Paul, Archbishop Lefebvre, and all the saints is the answer to the most important problems we face today. If we want God to stop those who no longer tolerate the truth, we must have the courage to fully accept, and tenaciously defend, the Traditional Catholicism of the saints, which insists that we can never tolerate error in the Catholic Faith that God gave us. Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!
