cultural marxism

I find it fascinating to watch the praxis of our politically-correct multiculturalist establishment when it comes to Islam. You would think that those PC elites would be, at the very least, offended by the tenets of the Muslim religion, if not very wary of how orthodox Muslims have conducted themselves across the globe in recent years. Their insistent response to Islamic terror and violence has been, almost uniformly, to declare repeatedly that “Islam is a religion of peace,” and that such manifestations as ISIS and Al-Qaeda in Syria, North Africa, Pakistan, Afghanistan and elsewhere are aberrations which don’t represent the true doctrines of that faith.

No name Weinandy

By now the whole Catholic world has heard of the publication of a devastating letter to Pope Francis from Father Thomas G. Weinandy. The former head of the theological secretariat of the U.S. Bishop’s conference, Fr. Weinandy has taught at both Oxford and the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. None other than Francis appointed Fr. Weinandy to the International Theological Commission and awarded him the Pro Pontifice et Ecclesiae medal, the ecclesial equivalent of the Congressional Medal of Honor, for his work on behalf of the Pope and the Church. One of the world’s most renowned theologians, Fr. Weinandy is a “man of the Council” and a prominent figure of the post-conciliar mainstream.

pope and lady bish hug it outSunday Sermons of South St. Paul

In this week’s Sunday Sermon of South St. Paul, Father takes the gloves off when it comes to the Pope's universal push to commemorate the Protestant Revolt. How can this be? How can Catholics celebrate history's most devastating attack on the Mystical Body of Christ? How many souls were lost over the past 500 years because they had no access to the Sacraments, especially the Mass and Christ in the Eucharist? This Catholic surrender proves once again that how we pray is how we will believe. Catholics who pray like Protestants will eventually become Protestants. Welcome to the "Catholic Christian Church".

The premier English-language Vatican journalist, Edward Pentin of the National Catholic Register, offers a journalist’s objective evaluation of a climate of fear in Rome, the Synod on the Family, Amoris Laetitia, and the crisis in the Church during the reign of Pope Francis.

All of the Catholic Identity Conference 2017 outstanding talks, including that of Bishop Athanasius Schneider, are available On-Demand from RemnantNewspaper.com  The organizers of the CIC felt that Mr. Pentin's most timely talk, however, should be released on YouTube immediately, and for obvious reasons.

HILARY MEMEThe Catholic Twitterverse is alive today with criticism of the USCCB’s decision to sack Fr. Thomas Weinandy, the former head of their doctrinal office. It took a matter of hours for the brave defenders of the status quo to leap into action against the mild Franciscan friar’s polite plea to Pope Francis to defend the Catholic Faith and faithful. Or at least to stop attacking them.

New from Remnant TV

At the introduction of the Catholic Identity Conference 2017, emcee Michael J. Matt speaks of the present crisis in the Church as one without precedent. He explains why is it worse than the Arian crisis, and how the modern Church has brought this on by reneging on her own claim to be the sole means of salvation. Michael then gives background information on Bishop Athanasius Schneider as he introduces His Excellency as this year's CIC honored guest speaker.

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – The annual pontifical mass in honor of the Emperor Blessed Karl of Austria took place yesterday (October 21, 2017) at Mary Mother of God Church in Washington, D.C. The event, organized by the United States branch of the Blessed Karl League of Prayer, received a large turnout of around 500 people, among whom, most importantly, were His Highness Prince Dimitri Galitzine, great-grandson of Blessed Karl, and his wife, Her Highness Princess Alexandra Galitzine. The pontifical mass was celebrated by his Excellency, Bishop Athanasius Schneider, O.R.C, auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese of Astana, Kazakhstan, with Reverend D.B. Thomas as Assistant Priest, Reverend Luke Melcher as deacon, and Reverend Garrett O’Brien as subdeacon.

Introduction by Michael J. Matt

Clearly, the current crisis in the Church is now without precedent.  If history is hiding a more disastrous pontificate than that of Pope Francis, I’d be interested to learn which one. And as the battle for the soul of the human element of Christ’s Church rages on—a battle which, as Our Lady predicted it would, now has “cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops…churches and altars sacked… and [a Church] full of those who accept compromises”—there is a growing temptation to conclude that all is lost and it’s time to go off and “do our own thing”. But then, what? What happens to the Church if all her faithful sons and daughters abandon her? This is not an option for the faithful Catholic—the soldier of Christ—who must  stand up, step up, and fight on. When the Son of Man returns he must find faith, if only in a remnant.

Down in the catacombs, Michael Matt discusses mobocracy and what's really behind the 'war on statues' raging in the streets of America. First it was Robert E. Lee, then it was Christopher Columbus and now it statues of saints, the Blessed Virgin and Our Lord Himself. This war on the past is morphing into a war on Christian history, and now Catholic schools are getting into the act by smashing their own statues.

What's it all mean? Is this the beginning of a new 'reign of terror'?  The mob is out of control again, and just as it turned on Robespierre the first time around it's again turning on its own (e.g., Nancy Pelosi in San Francisco last week). The one standing up to it is not the Pope, not the bishops, but a most unlikely political figure--the only geopolitical voice in the world still defending Christianity and Catholic history. Plus, the latest on next week's Catholic Identity Conference.
