Vatican Sex Abuse Summit in Rome

RTV Covers Vatican Sex Abuse Summit in Rome

Remnant TV was in Rome this past week covering the Vatican’s clerical sexual abuse summit on the “protection of minors”. It seemed a dismal assignment, to be sure, but the reason it was necessary for The Remnant to be in the Eternal City was so we could throw in with our traditional Catholic allies in Rome who’d organized an act of formal resistance to the Vatican sham summit.

Going in, we all knew that the ultimate goal of the summit was to establish child abuse—not rampant homosexuality in the priesthood—as the main cause of a crisis in the Catholic Church which now rivals that of the Protestant Revolt. (Remnant TV coverage of this event as well as the Vatican summit itself, can be found on The Remnant’s YouTube channel, and for your convenience is laid out below:

As a Catholic, it is regretful to see people, who through ignorance, ill-judged formation, or unconscionable malice, hate or despise Our Lord Jesus Christ and attack the dignity of His Most Holy Mother Mary.

Following an attempt on his life on July 13, former US president and official Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump nominated Ohio senator James David (J.D.) Vance as his running mate on the Republican election platform in November this year.

“He will set up a counterchurch which will be the ape of the Church, because he, the Devil, is the ape of God. It will have all the notes and characteristics of the Church, but in reverse and emptied of its divine content.” (Archbishop Fulton Sheen, Communism and the Conscience of the West)

Divine Providence certainly had an undeniable part to play when Thomas Crooks tried to unsuccessfully murder former US president and current presidential candidate Donald Trump.

It’s no secret that the Left has been waging a war on parents in a battle for their children’s hearts and minds for years.

In May 2024, the editors of Scientific American magazine published a report alleging that “children deserve uniform standards in homeschooling”, and that “many parents are attracted to homeschooling because they want to have more say in what their child learns and what they do not”. The Scientific American editors, who did not seem to portray homeschooling in a favorable light, then suggested that “homeschool parents could be required to pass an initial background check, as every state requires for all K-12 teachers.”

New from Remnant TV...

They just can’t leave it alone: This week the Vatican ordered the cancellation of the Latin Mass at the Spanish youth pilgrimage of Our Lady of Christendom. Why? Cardinal Müller explains why, but you won’t believe it.

Following his abysmal performance in the television debate with Donald Trump, incumbent US Democrat leader Joe Biden has dismissed domestic and international calls for him to step down amid long standing worries about his mental and physical fitness for office. Biden’s aides provided various excuses from a minor cold, an alleged preparation overload, and jet lag from a trip days before the debate.

A few weeks after the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith promulgated Fiducia supplicans,[1] it published a "[p]ress release concerning the reception" of the document.[2] The issue in the dicastery’s view was thus the document’s reception, which had not been universally favorable.[3] The dicastery urged a "full and calm reading of the Declaration so as to better understand its meaning and purpose," thereby suggesting its critics lacked reading comprehension and emotional control. But the issue with the document is not extrinsic. The issue is intrinsic, specifically an apparent reliance on process theology.

“Ecumenical dialogue is fundamental to fostering an understanding of synodality and the unity of the Church. Above all, it drives us to imagine authentically ecumenical synodal practices, including forms of consultation and discernment on shared and urgent concerns.” (Synod on Synodality, Instrumentum Laboris for the Second Session (October 2024))

The Gospel of last Sunday reads: “At that time, Jesus said to His disciples: Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. By their fruits you will know them.”
