We are writing about the recently revealed official mascot figure for the 2025 Jubilee Holy Year. It is an anime figure, a form of animation that originated in Japan and has become popular with youth worldwide. The mascot figure was designed by an Italian artist whose designs are influenced by his interests in Japan, street art and graffiti. This artist is known for his public support and commercial interests in gay pride events and products. Apparently, the usual Vatican perv artist, M Rupnik, was unavailable for this project.
The Vatican has its own explanation of the various features of this anime figure, and as has come to be expected, the mainstream Catholic media is eager to repeat it and report it. But as is to be expected from the Last Word, we are suspicious of everything done by the Vatican and we always assume the worst of intentions. In so doing we are following the evangelical counsel, “By their fruits you shall know them.”

Speaking of fruits, let’s begin our consideration of this Jubilee mascot with the fact that it features the six colors of the LGBT rainbow symbol: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet. The androgenous figure is clothed in a yellow hoodie (which the cardinal claims represent the Vatican) and sports green boots. It has blue hair and partially blue eyes and partially violet eyes. It is wearing what appears to be a pseudo rosary around its neck with green, yellow, red and blue beads with an orange cross. There are also brown stains on the boots, to “symbolize a long and difficult journey”—no doubt from illegal border crossings!

While on the topic of rainbows, it should be noted that the LGBT rainbow symbol is truly satanic. A real rainbow as seen in nature--first placed in the heavens by God following the flood in the time of Noah--has seven visible colors. Seven is a biblical and religious number of perfection, whereas six represents evil. The most notable use of six to represent evil is 666, the number of the mark of the beast of Revelation. The nature of Satan is to mimic God, in this case by coopting a rainbow as a symbol of sexual perversion.
By the way, one Vatican apologist argued that the rainbow colors of the mascot could not be intended to be an LGBT symbol, since these same colors appear in the Synod symbol. Hah! Guilty on both counts!
Speaking of satanic symbols, even more outrageous than LGBT rainbow colors are what this androgenous childlike looking creature is holding in its left hand: a witch’s stang. The Vatican explanation is that the figure is holding a pilgrim cross, which claim could only be believed by someone who does not know his right hand from his left. Speaking of which, the figure holds the stang in its left hand—symbolic of evil.

Remember a real-life figure who carried a satanic stang, with the claim that it was a cross? That’s right: FRANCIS. The occasion was the opening Mass of the 2018 Synod on Youth. As noted earlier the figure appears to be androgynous, and already gay friendly media have applauded this feature.
