Father Harkins on Pilgrimage to Chartres
The Remnant is delighted to
report that the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter is establishing
a new apostolate here in Minnesota.
The pastor of the Church of
All Saints in NE Minneapolis will be Fr. Peter Bauknecht, FSSP,
and his assistant will be Fr. Simon Harkins, FSSP--a wonderful
young priest whose acquaintance U.S. pilgrims were happy
to make this year when he served as assistant chaplain for the U.S.
Chapter of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Notre-Dame de
Chrétienté Pentecost Pilgrimage to Chartres.
Traditional Masses offered by the
Fraternity will commence as of Wednesday, July 3, 2013. We
at The Remnant would like to
offer a big Minnesota welcome to the Fraternity of St. Peter.
May God bless and protect this apostolate for years to come. And
many, many thanks to His Excellency Archbishop John Nienstedt for his
decision to invite the FSSP into our Archdiocese.
We ask our readers to
please pray for the Archbishop and to thank him for his
great pastoral solicitude where the traditional Catholic
community is concerned here in Minnesota....Michael J. Matt.
