The bishops themselves, though still limp, can no longer deny the strength of the traditional faith, and are gradually being drawn towards it, by force, and despite persistent persecution either from Rome (think of the case of Fréjus-Toulon with those seminarians still awaiting ordination) or from the bishop directly (as in Quimper where FSSP priests were "cordially" fired despite a flourishing apostolate).

Dear American friends, the French republic is sinking at a frightening speed into the cult of the Prince of this world, with none of the checks and balances that existed just a few decades ago. Today, in France occupied and besieged by the Republic, terror reigns: the Jacobin state imposes the net of its laws everywhere - you can be sure that everything you do is bound to be under the yoke of the law, and that without even knowing it you're bound to be illegal because there are so many standards and rules: this means that if someone wants to cause you trouble, you're always potentially in the hot seat...

Let us pray that this acceleration of the infernal descent will be the occasion for a rebirth of the Faith. And at this rate, the blood of the martyrs is already beginning to fertilize the old European soil once again.
