It is certainly comforting to see how many lay Catholics are animated by a sincere desire to serve the cause of the Church in the civilized world ....," wrote Monsignor Carlo Maria Viganò to the Directors of Vicit Leo at a press conference in Rome last week.
Vicit Leo is an Italian association that consists of professional people specialising in science, medicine, law and ethics, and which formed during the covid-19 lockdown and the closing of the churches. It aims to bring criminal proceedings against the World Health Organization for what Vicit Leo believes to be criminal offences that taken together amount to crimes against humanity.
Alongside Msgr. Viganò's endorsement of its work, important presentations were made at the conference by leading experts in law and jurisprudence, health governance and risk management, and by political figures.
