News broke recently that at least four US senators sold off millions of dollars in overhanging stock just before the Wuhan virus tore the stuffing out of global markets. One of the senators, Kelly Loeffler (R-GA)—whose husband happens to be the chairman of the New York Stock Exchange—sold her shares just moments after she received a briefing from Pres. Trump’s Coronavirus Task Force. With timing that only an establishment politician could pull off, Loeffler dumped her assets before the ensuing bloodbath on the trading floor.

Another of the senators was Dianne Feinstein, apologist for Tiananmen Square and friend of the Butcher of Tibet, harvested-organ entrepreneur Jiang Zemin. Feinstein got in early on the China game, tying her early political fortunes to Jiang and his Shanghai cronies. (Let us remember that the verb “to shanghai” is not an anomaly—Shanghai has long been one of the most corrupt cities in the world.) Feinstein’s husband, Richard Blum, rode the coattails of his wife’s Sinophilia to the tune of some 160 million dollars for his hedge fund. Feinstein herself hosted an honest-to-goodness PRC spy in her office for almost twenty years. Russell Lowe, who now works for another pro-PRC organization in the Bay Area (sorry that that doesn’t narrow it down), was just one of many “China hands” that passed through the Feinstein-Blum trap door into the underbelly of the Chinese Communist Party.

In these stock selloffs by American politicians we see, of course, the very essence of globalism. Senators who gorge themselves on cash and dividends accruing from their kowtowing to the world’s only remaining slave power—the powerful and rich who once had most of the world convinced that globalization was the key to future prosperity—are utterly insulated from the consequences of their sycophancy. You might be worried about catching coronavirus and dying. Globalman is worried about whether he can write off his lunch meeting with his broker as a business expense.

Globalman cries connectivity, but is the first to bug out when the chips fall. “Globalization,” it turns out, is total exposure to risk for most of us, and immunity from it for the global elite. How insular is this strange creature, globalman! Pace John Donne, globalman is an island. (And when the bell tolls, it tolls for schmucks like us, unemployed while globalman decides at which home to ride out the market froth.)

anti globalists

Consider how this pattern holds for other globalists. Tom Cruise, who appeased the Simon Legrees in Xinjiang by removing a Taiwanese flag from his flight jacket in the sad, cheesy remake of Top Gun due out this year, isn’t going to be going without a ventilator if he happens to catch the bug that his artistic censors unleashed on mankind. Cruise makes upwards of 25 million dollars a film. Don’t expect to see him in an emergency room in the Mississippi Delta anytime soon.

The NBA, too, is parasitic on China, and its members are almost as insulated from the costs of doing business with a dictatorship as are other globalmen. Everyone will remember that last year Lebron James, whose ancestors were slaves, could not bring himself to criticize a government that operates Muslim reeducation plantations after one lone and clueless truth-teller in the NBA organization tweeted a solitary message of support for Hong Kong. This season, it was only after a Utah Jazz player tested positive that the game he was at that moment playing in was cancelled and the rest of the NBA season put on hold. The league had no scruples about packing tens of thousands of ticket-buying rubes into a stadium and exposing them to potential plague death—it was only when the fillies were in peril that the races were called off.

And Eric Schmidt, whose Google helped the PRC perfect its mass surveillance and control techniques, will himself never have to be “sent to the countryside” or reeducated in Marxist-Leninist-Maoist Thought in a cowshed in rural Yunnan. He will be cashing in on China for the rest of his earthly days (all bets are off after that, though, Eric). He will never even have to bother learning the names of the countless Chinese people who have been disappeared because of technology Google provided the PRC.

The same goes for Pope Francis—a reporter should ask him to name even one Chinese Christian who is in a Chinese jail—or grave—for his or her faith. Or maybe it’s racist to point out that every Catholic in China persecuted because of Francis’ disastrous China policy is Chinese?

globalist quote 1pope francis china

This is all a study in the strange, insular life of globalman. No one who profits from the China Trade, none of the compradors who broker access to the huge, and unfree, Chinese market, will ever have to lose a loved one to a fentanyl overdose in lowly West Virginia. Globalman will not have to choose between food and rent in a midwestern town left barren after the factory jobs went to Wuhan and the only thing that came back was pandemic. The Vatican can preach up and down about the glories of the socialist life in China, but the cardinals and archbishops get to go back to their piazzas in the Eternal City once their conference in Shenzhen is finished. It’s the bishops and priests and faithful left behind who aren’t quite so lucky.

Carlos Ghosn, Davosman himself, who threw working stiffs out onto the streets in half a dozen countries, is even insulated from justice. When things started looking bad for him in the prosecutor’s office, he simply hired some former Green Berets, slipped onto the bullet train, stowed away on an airplane, and went back to his pied a terre in Beirut. (You have a pied a terre in Lebanon, too—don’t you?)

Or, as the eternal footman of globalman, Kevin D. Williamson, once advised those who had lost work in the heartland: “Get off your asses and go find a job.” (Williamson then compared the gutted-out rustbelt to “Stonehenge”. Globalman visits Stonehenge—only smelly Druids ever actually lived there. Someone pass Williamson the caviar. Or perhaps a pair of binoculars so he can gawk at the schlemiels from the National Review office in Manhattan.)

What this global pandemic is showing us is that those who cheered loudest for globalism, those who stood to make a killing from the ideology, were those who were never going to have to pay the price if any of it fell flat. With bitter irony, the Wuhan virus has hit everyone—except those who yelped the lustiest for “interconnectivity,” those who are now walled off and masked in and hunkered down while the pestilential air of the working class blows through the globalized world for a spell.

Globalman is an island, you see. Nothing that troubles the rest of us can touch him. If you want someone to kiss lepers in Molokai, bathe gutter dwellers in Calcutta, or die at your bedside, as the heroic priests in Italy are dying today when the disease that the globalists’ favorite country unleashed on the world is laying the hoi polloi low, then you’re going to need the Catholic Church. God willing, this virulent scourge will teach us the difference between the false religion of globalism, and the true one, whose universalism leaves globalism in the dust.

THE PARKING LOT MASS: Priest Outsmarts #COVID-19

In this RTV Short, we report on how one ingenious Catholic priest has found a way to celebrate the Traditional Latin Mass without violating federal or state separation guidelines designed to curb the spread of the Coronavirus.

As a 30-year US military chaplain, Father knows something about the importance of following the rules during a pandemic.

He also knows how important God and Faith are to those fighting for survival.

It is our hope that more Catholic priests will find a way to safely keep the consolation of Holy Mother Church available to their flocks even out here on the battlefield of this pandemic.

Today during the press briefing held by the Coronavirus Task Force at the White House, President Trump stuck a pin in the panic balloon.

The President said it’s a bad flu season, COVID19 is serious, but we’ve learned a lot on how to contain it, the death rate is low and so it’s time for the country to get moving.

God protect him.

Trump may have just saved this country, but the globalists are going to come after him now like bats out of hell.

We also salute the Lt. Governor Dan Patrick of Texas for explaining what exactly is at the heart of this controversy, which supports Trump's opinion that the time has come to defeat the threat of the virus without destroying this country. (More on that tomorrow on Remnant TV)

AS THE DEATH rate continues to flatten and decline, Michael Matt looks for the silver lining in perhaps the most bizarre global crisis in a hundred years. Is this a win for the globalists, or have they jumped the shark?

And what about the Vatican and its 'Church of Accompaniment'? Looks more like the 'Church of Abandonment.' Will it ever recover? Pope Francis just made a deal with the Chinese Communists. Will he ever be taken seriously again?

Dear Pilgrims:

This was to be the 29th time I walked the Paris-to-Chartres Pentecost Pilgrimage. In modern times, only two events interrupted this pilgrimage—World War II and the Second Vatican Council. At this point, it looks like we may be facing the prospect of a third interruption—the Coronavirus pandemic.

I have not given up yet, however.  I believe that what our sad and desperate world needs now more than ever is the abundance of grace made available each year on the Chartres Pilgrimage.

I would be lying, however, if I said I’m not concerned. With the Coronavirus now shutting down nearly everything—including Masses, churches, even Holy Week—it’s difficult to see how the international recovery effort could take place in time for this year’s Pilgrimage.

Still, one never knows, and, with God, anything is possible.

So, if you’re willing to wait a little longer I’d like to keep monitoring the situation, along with our French allies, to see if anything changes here in the next few weeks.

France, like everywhere else, is in lockdown right now. So, there’s no great urgency for me to pay for the hotels and restaurants needed for our pilgrimage. In other words, if this crisis continues into April we’ll be able to either refund all or most of your deposit or hang onto it in order to register you for next year.

We’ll post updates on our website: ChartresPilgrimageUSA.com and continue to provide major updates to you via email.

Feel free to telephone us anytime, and please rest assured that we will certainly not go to France unless and until the US State Department gives the all clear. As far as I can see, you have nothing to lose by waiting with me for that to happen. And, if it does not happen, we’ll start planning for next year.

Thanks for your patience. I hope you’re all healthy and safe. May God bless you and may Notre Dame de Chrétiente be with us all during this dark and confusing time.

In Christo Rege,
Michael J. Matt

During the Coronavirus pandemic, it may be prudent for some people in 'at risk categories' not to go to Mass for a couple of weeks. There is no Mass obligation for those who are ill or in danger of becoming ill.

But closing churches and stopping all Masses at a time like this is an outrage. So, why are so many 'progressive’ shepherds, who said they were going to make the Church into a “field hospital”, suddenly locking their churches and heading for cover during the flock’s moment of most desperate spiritual need? What happened to the Church of Accompaniment? Church of Abandonment is more like it.

Tired of priests and bishops going MIA during the Coronavirus pandemic?

Why are so many 'progressive’ shepherds, who said they were going to make the Church into a “field hospital” for the walking wounded, suddenly heading for cover during the flock’s moment of need?

Remember when Pope Francis called on the world’s priests to bring the healing power of God’s grace to everyone in need? He said they were to “stay close to the marginalized and to be shepherds living with the smell of the sheep.”

What happened to all that?

Church of Accompaniment? Not quite. Church of Abandonment is more like it.

But certainly not all priests and bishops are taking orders from their secularist jailors.

In fact, if you're in the St. Paul/Minneapolis area tomorrow--Sunday, March 15), come out to the Church of St Augustine's Traditional Latin Mass tomorrow at 10:00 AM.

The holy water fonts are NOT going to be drained, the church is not going to be locked, communion will be administered on the tongue AND Father will preach a sermon on the importance of keeping the Church engaged and the churches open when faithful Catholics are most in need.

Plus, look for a shoutout to Archbishop Vigano tomorrow, too…from the pulpit!

Rather than ordering the faithful to stay away from church, Father is organizing a special Rosary procession for those wishing to publicly turn to Heaven during this moment of crisis. The procession, which will take place outside the church, will include prayers of petition, begging Our Lady to be with us during this time of tribulation.

Seems to me that this is exactly how Mother Church took her children under her protective mantle in times of trouble for a thousand years or more.

If you're feeling sick or in a high-risk category,  no worries. Stay home and we'll all be praying for you, too.

We thank God for all the courageous Catholic priests willing to keep our churches open to us in the face of this pandemic.

May God be with us all.

In the middle of the Coronavirus crisis, the city of St. Paul, Minnesota takes time out to celebrate Abortion Providers Appreciation Day.  Even in the face of international crisis, we’re still hellbent on provoking the wrath of God. Why?

With VP Pence at the helm, the Trump Administration is being hailed for arming Americans against this vicious viral invader. (If you think otherwise, move to Italy!) So why are the globalists and their water carriers in the media trying to whip up the mob into blaming Trump for China’s virus?

We're all going to die of something but for the vast majority of us, it won't be the coronavirus. If the mainstream media would only stop weaponizing this, lives will be saved, the economy won't crash, Trump will crush Biden and, believe it or not, the world won't end.

GettyImages 1204593464

It's a serious virus. No doubt about it. But it's still a virus. It's also being weaponized by ideological fanatics and irresponsible media types with an ax to grind against Donald Trump.

Once we move past the media-generated hysteria and take a breath, we should feel comforted by the fact that most of us are not going to get this flu and, those of us who do, are very likely going to recover from it, thanks be to God.

The social media giants, so powerful now as to influence even the outcomes of national elections, are making sure only the right political opinions about ruthless communist regimes are not censored. The last time media censorship got to this point millions of people were soon to be rounded up, imprisoned and buried in mass, unmarked graves all across Eastern Europe.

Back in 2018, The Daily Caller broke the story that the notorious Left-wing hate group, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), is "assisting YouTube in policing content on their platform."  According to the Caller, "the SPLC is one of the more than 100 NGOs and government agencies in YouTube's 'Trusted Flaggers' program."

No surprise, then, that The Remnant has already been demonetized and shadow banned, and now this: YouTube slapped an age restriction (see screenshot below) on RTV’s most recent Sunday Sermon: CHINESE CATHOLICS BETRAYED: Diocesan Priest Stands with Viganò and Cardinal Zen

Why would a sermon which includes a trending topic (China and the coronavirus) and covers Archbishop Vigano’s latest letter, be deemed unsuitable for those under 18 (Father gave this sermon to his large congregation of all ages, by the way), unless YouTube is trying to tighten the noose around the neck of yet another conservative channel?

What is YouTube so afraid of? The Chinese communists, as the sermon points out, are forcing abortions, arresting bishops and priests, terrorizing their own citizens. It’s all documented, photographic evidence that’s easy to find, so does YouTube not want us defending Chinese Catholics persecuted by an intolerant and bigoted regime?

People are losing their jobs merely for expressing on Facebook dissenting opinions on "new and approved" notions of marriage. Mainstream conservative talking heads are not allowed to even question gay marriage anymore. The government is teaming up with new Gestapo agencies such as the SPLC to label as haters all those who deviate from politically correct ideology. And the social media giants, so powerful now as to influence even the outcomes of national elections, are making sure only the right political opinions about ruthless totalitarian regimes are not censored.

The last time media censorship got to this point millions of people were soon to be rounded up, imprisoned and buried in mass, unmarked graves all across Eastern Europe.

Remnant TV (TheRemnantVideo on YouTube) is growing closer every day to being kicked off Google’s massive streaming provider. However, we believe the Catholic cause is worth fighting for, and that video is a necessary medium to help spread the message.

First off, I'm contesting this ridiculous "age restriction" flag with the YouTube team right now. Why? Because this is beyond stupid!

In addition, we long ago anticipated the YouTube crackdown by building our own video hosting platform right here at RemnantNewspaper.com. We're revamping it right now by setting it up on remote servers around the country and in Europe to ensure quality playback. This is not cheap, but we hope to complete the project before we get thrown off YouTube entirely.

In the meantime, here's a simple 3-step process to help us fight back and to ensure RTV continues to thrive:

  • Like and Share our videos on social media (This is absolutely essential!)
  • Subscribe to The Remnant E-letters. YouTube is already removing RTV notifications from our subscribers' lists. So, let us inform you when a new RTV video is posted. This is free, and it works!
  • Click the bell down and to the right of the Remnant homepage so that you can receive our push notifications whenever we post a video. Again, it costs you nothing, and it works!

That’s it. Show them that despite their best totalitarian efforts, we won’t be silenced, we won't be intimidated and we certainly won't back down.

Let's start with this Sunday Sermon video; spread it as far as you can.

Bishop Athanasius SchneiderBefore the recent Catholic Identity Conference, I sat down with Bishop Athanasius Schneider and asked him a few questions about the Traditional Latin Mass, Amoris Laetitia, Cardinal Burke and the Dubia, Communion in the hand, the coming desecration of the Eucharist, resisting Pope Francis, and the increasingly obvious failure that is the Second Vatican Council.

Please keep in mind that it was not my intent to “grill the bishop”. I have known him for some time and have come to respect him more than I can say. It was my intent to assist our readers and friends around the world to get to know this most courageous churchman—a man of faith and deep appreciation for the traditions of Holy Mother Church.
