RTV Covers Vatican Sex Abuse Summit in Rome
Remnant TV was in Rome this past week covering the Vatican’s clerical sexual abuse summit on the “protection of minors”. It seemed a dismal assignment, to be sure, but the reason it was necessary for The Remnant to be in the Eternal City was so we could throw in with our traditional Catholic allies in Rome who’d organized an act of formal resistance to the Vatican sham summit.
Going in, we all knew that the ultimate goal of the summit was to establish child abuse—not rampant homosexuality in the priesthood—as the main cause of a crisis in the Catholic Church which now rivals that of the Protestant Revolt. Removal of a number of statues and other smaller Catholic icons from the campus of San Domenico School in San Anselmo has raised concern among parents.
marinij.com; POSTED: : In an email to the school’s board of directors, Dominican Sisters of San Rafael and the head of school, Shannon Fitzpatrick objected to the removal of the statues and other steps the school has taken in an effort to make the school more inclusive.
“Articulating an inclusive foundation appears to mean letting go of San Domenico’s 167-year tradition as a Dominican Catholic school and being both afraid and ashamed to celebrate one’s heritage and beliefs,” wrote Fitzpatrick, whose 8-year-old son attends the school.
She added, “In our time here, the word ‘Catholic’ has been removed from the mission statement, sacraments were removed from the curriculum, the lower school curriculum was changed to world religions, the logo and colors were changed to be ‘less Catholic,’ and the uniform was changed to be less Catholic.”
Responding to follow-up questions Monday, Fitzpatrick wrote, “There are other families having the same concerns I do. Many parents feel if the school is heading in a different direction then the San Domenico community should have been notified before the signing of the enrollment for the following year.”
The removal of these statues points to a more serious problem, with the school’s philosophy director:
Mirza Khan, the school’s director of philosophy, ethics and world religions, said, “The Dominican teaching philosophy is not to teach there is only one truth. It is to foster conversation, to intentionally invite in participants that have different perspectives in a very open-ended process of philosophical and spiritual inquiry. That has been a long-standing part of the Dominican tradition.”
Khan, whose father and grandfather were Sufi teachers in India, received a bachelor’s degree in comparative religion at Bard College. Before becoming a teacher at San Domenico about 10 years ago, he worked as a research assistant to a professor at Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
Khan said during his time in Jerusalem he got to see first-hand how devastating it can be when religions are in conflict.

For fifty years, Catholics have been subjected to a protestantized liturgy...what even Pope Benedict XVI referred to as a "trivialized liturgy." As you pray is how you will believe, and we've been praying like Protestants. Time to get rid of the crucifixes and statues, just as the Protestants did. Catholics are becoming de facto Protestants.

167-Year-Old Dominican School Removes Religious Statues in Effort to be ‘Inclusive’

Hissy fits are so unattractive, especially in men. Why haven’t they wised up at the Papal Court of Bergoglio? They surely must know that gossiping and trash talking resembles.... What did Pope Francis call it? Oh, yeah, Coprophagia.
Warning: Don’t google the definition during mealtime.
That’s all you need to know about Pope Francis and his pornographic vocabulary. What manner of man, albeit the Vicar of Christ, utters such a vile and perverse obscenity? A humble man. Just ask Francis.
CNN reports that the rate of child suicides--aged 5 through 12--has taken a tragic leap in recent years:

More than 1,300 dead since 1999
From 1999 through 2015, 1,309 children ages 5 to 12 took their own lives in the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says…
That means one child under 13 died of suicide nearly every five days, on average, over those 17 years.
The frequency was higher from 2013 to 2015 -- once every 3.4 days -- thanks mostly to a 54% spike in the suicides of 11- and 12-year-olds compared to the three years prior. That jibes with the CDC's announcement of a recent rise in suicide rates in ages 10-14.
Still, some perspective: Suicides before the teen years are infrequent compared to other groups.
There were 0.31 suicides per 100,000 children ages 5-12 during those 17 years. Compare that to 7.04 suicides per 100,000 people ages 13-18, or 17.39 per 100,000 for ages 18 to 65.
Child suicide rates rise with age. But, yes, the CDC has recorded suicides of 5-, 6- and 7-year-olds. From 1999 to 2015 (the most recent year for data), those numbers were two, four and eight, respectively.

REMNANT COMMENT: This is distressing beyond words. What is happening to us? We're increasingly violent towards one another. We're losing any sense of goodness and decency. We hurt kids. We hurt ourselves. We hate God.
The family—the basic unit of society—is in more evident collapse today than perhaps at any other time in human history. It is broken seemingly beyond repair.
So with God banished, morality branded ‘hate speech’ and families largely dysfunctional, we "enlightened ones" are fast becoming the most benighted people in history. Even our children can no longer stand the darkness of our Enlightenment.
And we're so terribly good at Death. We exterminate millions in the womb. We've developed bigger and better killing machines that can slaughter untold numbers in far off lands with the push of a button. We’re expert at ‘taking people out’—whether it be babies, the crippled, the elderly. You name it, we're history's most proficient executioner.
And now that we've told God to go to Hell and messed up the family beyond recognition, even our little kids want out.
I wonder if there has ever been a time in human history when little children were taking their lives at the rate ours are today. Historians are not shy about trying to "gross us out" with the sordid details of pagan Rome’s depravity; and yet I don't remember reading anything about measurable suicide rates among 10-year-olds in old Rome. I have a feeling we may hold the record on that, just as we hold that of the number of babies slaughtered by their own moms.
And the worst of it is that we're so dumbed down we don't even know how mind-numbingly stupid we are. We still think we’re "progressive", despite a mountain of evidence to suggest the opposite: that—socially, morally, humanly speaking—we’re the most backward, backwater hicks in history. To call us “pagans” would be to insult the pagans, who certainly had religion, believed in a god, and revered marriage and the family. History’s average pagan was a daily communicant compared to what we've become today. Don't believe me? Turn on the news tonight.
We have no God. We have no history we care to study. We have no stories to tell our children. We have no dreams. We're angry, fat, selfish, murderous and now suicidal.
And yet we still imagine ourselves to have evolved. We've moved beyond the Dark Ages of Faith. We know what is good and what is evil — like those Confederate gentlemen whose statues we’re tearing down. We sit in judgment of them because we occupy the moral high ground. Why shouldn’t we be history’s judge and jury? We have Google, digital porn, Snapchat and Twitter!
Life if better now than ever before, and people are happier now than they ever were. Just ask one of those little kids... before he commits suicide.
God help us all. We are our own chastisement!
ENLIGHTENMENT on STEROIDS: One Child Suicide Every 5 Days

Politico Magazine, in its May/June 2017 issue, featured a long essay by writer Tim Alberta about Pat Buchanan and his role in American politics and culture, and in particular, the role he has had in sustaining a vision of a more Christian nation, and what that means during the Trump Era. And Alberta highlights one very central element in Buchanan’s life: his strong Catholic faith. He and his wife, Shelley, are regular communicants at the Saint Mary Mother of God Church in Washington. His Catholic faith has influenced him throughout his seventy-eight years, beginning with his childhood as one of nine children in an archetypical Catholic family of the 1950s, through his experience in parochial school, and then at Georgetown University and at the Columbia School of Journalism, on into writing, serving two American presidents, and running for president three times.

A petition is circulating to rename the racisit Margaret Sanger Square in New York City:
Since Americans are expressing their anger at historical figures with racist legacies, it is high time that 'Margaret Sanger Square' be renamed. Sanger was the founder of Planned Parenthood, a murderous organization which has aborted over 60 million unborn babies, mostly African-American children. Sanger once referred to African Americans as "human weeds".
It needs 99,924 signatures by September 14, 2017, in order to get a response from the White House. Sign the petition HERE

A scraggily beard hung like gray stalactites from cavernous cheeks. Bald patches detailed a survey of where torturers had plucked hairs during interrogations. Upon a stretcher lay an Italian bishop, 63 years old, frail and weak. His black tunic and dirt-stained pants draped loosely over his bones. Chinese black-cloth shoes – wrapped around and tied with spare twine – swaddled his swollen feet.
Just on the heels of Politico's blockbuster expose of the radical Southern Poverty Law Center, Tucker Carlson of the Fox News Channel hosted the Family Research Channel's Tony Perkins to talk about the SPLC's highly questionable tactics in labeling Christian and pro-family organizations as 'hate groups' – many appearing on the SPLC's ridiculous (but dangerous) hate map right alongside actual haters such as the KKK and the Neo-Nazis.
Did you know that James T. Hodgkinson, the shooter who targeted Republicans at a congressional baseball game practice and nearly killed Congressman Steve Scalise (R-La.), gave moral support to the Southern Poverty Law Center? The SPLC had repeatedly attacked Scalise, along with former presidential candidate Ben Carson and women's right activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali.
Watch Carlson and Perkins dismantle what’s fast becoming not only the largest hate group in America but also the most egregious purveyor of dangerous Fake News in the world today – the Southern Poverty Law Center.

(American Family Association) This week, CNN listed the American Family Association as a "hate group" in a sham news article that could easily incite violence and place AFA employees and supporters in harm's way. CNN has since issued a correction and removed AFA by name off their website. Instead, CNN links to the Southern Poverty Law Center website which falsely lists AFA as a "hate group."
AFA is urging CNN to stop using the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) as a source when reporting real news. The SPLC is a radical organization and its hateful rhetoric was implicated in a 2012 shooting at the Family Research Council's headquarters in Washington, D.C..
By citing the SPLC, CNN underscores why many Americans don't trust it for honest reporting. The SPLC has been widely discredited over the years because of its false labeling of Christian organizations as "hate groups." In fact, even the liberal Obama Department of Justice quietly reprimanded SPLC and its attorneys because their conduct "overstepped the bounds of zealous advocacy and was unprofessional."
Many remember when the SPLC placed world renowned neurosurgeon, Dr. Ben Carson, on an "extremist" watch list. Why did they do this? Because Dr. Carson believes that marriage is between one man and one woman. READ MORE HERE
REMNANT COMMENT: While The Remnant denounces and condemns all actual hate groups (such as the Neo-Nazis, the KKK and the SPLC), we call upon all pro-life, pro-family, pro-Christian organizations targeted by the SPLC to unite against these dangerous purveyors of Fake News here in the country we all love. We support the AFA's call for justice, and we encourage our readers to sign the AFA petition to CNN, urging that network to stop using the Southern Poverty Law Center as a resource.
If Christians do not stand up for themselves against this orchestrated and Christophobic witch hunt, nobody will.

“Southern Poverty Law Center has been criticized in the past for having too broad a definition of hate.” (WCCO TV reporter, Heather Brown, August 14, 2017) So there’s your 2017 Understatement of the Year. But then why did WCCO TV rely on an obvious Fake News source to concoct a nothingburger story like this? Let us consider this textbook example of Fake News.
Last night, WCCO TV attempted to forge a link between white supremacists in Charlottesville, VA and—wait for it! —The Remnant. As the primary source for this “exposé”, WCCO reporter Heather Brown trotted out the 2006 Southern Poverty Law Center Intelligence Report on hate groups in America.
