The Remnant Will Never Forget

The Remnant devotes this section of our exclusively to testimonies by those who lived through the revolution of the Second Vatican Council.

This page is reserved for those who saw what happened, or heard what happened from those who did,  and who truly understand how Catholic families were blown apart. Visitors who have personal reflections, or memories of traditionalists pioneers, or reminicences of the revolution are encouraged to tell their stories and share their pictures here. . . so that we will never forget.

Vatican Sex Abuse Summit in Rome

Vatican Sex Abuse Summit in Rome (0)

RTV Covers Vatican Sex Abuse Summit in Rome

Remnant TV was in Rome this past week covering the Vatican’s clerical sexual abuse summit on the “protection of minors”. It seemed a dismal assignment, to be sure, but the reason it was necessary for The Remnant to be in the Eternal City was so we could throw in with our traditional Catholic allies in Rome who’d organized an act of formal resistance to the Vatican sham summit.

Going in, we all knew that the ultimate goal of the summit was to establish child abuse—not rampant homosexuality in the priesthood—as the main cause of a crisis in the Catholic Church which now rivals that of the Protestant Revolt. (Remnant TV coverage of this event as well as the Vatican summit itself, can be found on The Remnant’s YouTube channel, and for your convenience is laid out below:

mccarrCardinal McCarrick and the Boys: Could he have been any more obvious?

Author’s Note: Back on June 30, 2002, I wrote the following Remnant article on the now-infamous Dallas meeting of bishops (convened under the pretense of addressing the clergy sex abuse crisis). That utterly impotent meeting would go on to produce the now-laughable “Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People”, drafted by — wait for it! — Cardinal Theodore McCarrick.

At the Dallas meeting, Uncle Ted was allowed to make a mockery of the entire Conference by prancing around like a lady from "The View", pretending to care about victims of clerical sexual abuse while his brother bishops sat on their hands and said nothing about the biggest abuser of them all.

We know how that story ended.

francis and patriarch 2The Benedict Option?
(Pope Francis asks Patriarch Bartholomew to “bless me and the Church of Rome” at the Orthodox Church of St. George in Istanbul.)

Editor’s Note: Anyone reading The Remnant for a period of time can attest to the fact that in these dark days of confusion we have long been committed to “uniting the clans” against the enemies of Christ’s Church whenever possible. Now more than ever before, those who can “pray the Creed with us, and mean it” (as the late, great Dr. William Marra used to say) must be considered brothers in arms. The following article pulls no punches. It is written by a diocesan priest, Father Richard Munkelt—an academic not given to the kind of pot-stirring polemics all the rage on social media. This is not a “spitting contest” with Rod Dreher—a well-known and talented writer with whom Father Munkelt has been acquainted for many years. Instead, this is a priestly tour de force on the fundamentals of Catholicism, closely following and critiquing Mr. Dreher's recent articles on the Catholic Church. We are publishing it not because we have some personal animus against Mr. Dreher, who left the Church over the clerical scandals, but rather because we seek his return to the fold, while encouraging others not to follow the dangerous and misguided path he’s taken.

New from Remnant TV. . .

44zIYMpg.jpegThis RTV Short presents some iPhone footage and audio of Bishop Robert Morlino's last Old Rite Confirmation service at St. Mary's Parish in Pine Bluff, Wisconsin in 2018. Remnant editor, Michael J. Matt, filmed parts of the ceremony, since he was on hand to have one of his daughters confirmed. The iPhone quality isn't great but the Bishop's words to the young people are very moving. His very last words to them, in fact, were the words of the Hail Mary. Bishop Morlino of the Diocese of Madison, Wisconsin, was one of the few good shepherds who didn't flee for fear of the wolves. He will be greatly missed.

In the Sunday Sermon from South Saint Paul for the First Sunday in Advent, Father touches on the two great comings of Christ: The first one in Bethlehem over 2,000 years ago, and the Second Coming of Christ the Judge at the end of time. But then Father also prays for another kind of coming of Jesus Christ-- where He comes now to rescue the Catholic Church from the Modernists who hold her captive in Rome. Come Lord Jesus, save Your Church, save your people, save us all. If you want more from RTV, perhaps you'd consider a small donation this Advent Season. We need your help, and your tax-deductible can be made HERE.

90386ba21c0c61a3fa8f77a9999b956dCeline Dion invades a nursery to eradicate gender in a commercial for her new unisex children’s clothing line.

Author's Note: I penned the following article fifteen years ago, at a time when I thought the war on our kids couldn’t get much worse. I was wrong. It's not only gotten much worse, but it's morphed into overtly satanic total war-- unrestricted in terms of the psychological weapons used, the age of the combatants involved, and the anti-God objectives pursued.

Case in point: The sometimes terrifying and always weird singer and cultural icon, Celine Dion, is showing up everywhere in MSM these days, promoting her new line of genderless children’s clothing that brings the war on kids to a whole new level. Those fortunate enough to make it past the abortuary are evidently to be brainwashed from cradle to grave -- quite literally -- by an anti-God, anti-family, anti-gender propaganda campaign worthy of Joseph Goebbels (Nazi Minister of Propaganda from 1933 to 1945).

St. Andrew

Remnant TV's CATHOLIC SAINTS AND HOLY DAYS pays homage to the great saint and Apostle, St. Andrew.

jpii and bergoglioJohn Paul II bestowed the red hat on Jorge Bergoglio

Editor’s Introduction
by Michael J. Matt

The following article first appeared in The Remnant on October 15, 2002, under the title: The Problem with the ‘New Rosary’: The Fourth Commandment and Other Reformist Woes. For the many “new recruits” to Tradition here in 2018, this article will be useful since it helps to place Pope Francis into the proper Modernist context of the Revolution of Vatican II.

We must keep in mind that during his reign, Pope John Paul went from the “great white hope” of conservatives early on, to the most outspoken champion of the Revolution of all time. And his many gifts to the Church—i.e., altar girls, Theology of the Body, the saint-making factory, Assisi-styled interfaith lallapaloosas, a New Rosary, etc.—did precious little to assuage the fears of traditional Catholics who felt that the situation in the Church—under Pope John Paul the GREAT! —couldn’t get much more apocalyptic.

creeps in the houseCardinals McCarrick, Law, Cupich

Editor’s Note: When traditional Catholics were sounding the alarm against apostasy and moral corruption in the hierarchy decades ago, they were generally dismissed as schismatics, troublemakers and ‘rad trads.’ Remember?

Today, thanks be to God, many thousands are waking up to the same rot now firmly imbedded in the Church like ticks on a hound. The following article (under the title “Did Cardinal Law Resign for the Wrong Reason”) appeared in The Remnant back in April of 2003, when another twisted old cardinal was in the news.

I’m reproducing this article, along with a personal plea to those tens of thousands who are waking up at last to the real problems in the Church:

morlino

We are truly devasted to learn of the passing of the great Bishop Robert C. Morlino at 9:15 in St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin (the Feast of St. John of the Cross).  He was 71 years old.

After having survived a cardiac “event” the day before Thanksgiving, His Excellency took a turn for the worse. In your charity, please storm Heaven for the repose of  the soul of this good and faithful bishop.

At this point in the ever-worsening Bergoglian Debacle, Pope Bergoglio would appear to have no remaining staunch defenders in the neo-Catholic establishment, save a couple of unhinged, vituperative outliers with a penchant for obscene ranting, both of whom finally had to be shown the door by EWTN’s National Catholic Register.   This is a papacy only a nutter can continue to defend as soundly orthodox.
