New Gestapo Rising in Minnesota

Minnesota's legislature proposed a bill last month that requires the state Department of Human Rights to collect allegations of perceived “discrimination” or microaggressions in a new “bias” registry [read: Gulag] which would allow people to report alleged, non-criminal “slurs or verbal attacks”, and includes “sexual orientation,” “gender identity,” and “gender expression” as protected classes.

This proposal was first drafted as a sweeping, left-wing public safety bill, Senate File 2909, which also takes severe action against gun ownership.

Question: With whom do these Leftists identify when they watch a Nazi movie, for example? Are they so fanatically woke that they fail to recognize the parallel between what they’re doing today and what the Nazis were doing yesterday?  Or do they straight up identify with the villainous Gestapo agent in the movie?

You don't even have to crack a book! Just watch any of the countless thrillers from the 1980s and you’ll see the Gestapo running around collecting names, setting up watch lists, and trying to control what people thought.

So, what's the difference? Didn't the world get a snoutful of this rot last century? Are the mud ducks here in Minnesota really so ignorant of history that they don't even recognize the sound of their own goosestepping?

We're doing this again? Seriously? You’ve got to be KIDDING ME!

NOTE TO TIM WALZ: In case you've forgotten, Governor, this is what Eastern Europe looked like a few years ago, when the Thought Police were imposing “public safety bills” like this on them, too:
