The bishops would have had to ask some very hard questions of Fr Hackett: How could he claim that, as his letter suggests, “no penalty attaches to Catholic membership of the Masonic order”? And what led him to believe that this is the policy of the Bishop’s Conference? Why could Fr Hackett confidently suggest that, presumably any, Australian Vicar-General would be able to mediate between Freemasons and their local parishes? Is every Vicar-General in Australia sympathetic to Freemasonry?
How many priests who provide the sacraments to their unsuspecting flocks are Masons? How many bishops are Masons?
While the official channels have remained silent on this gross violation of traditional teaching and Canon Law, other Catholics have spent the last three years speculating as to just how many Catholics are currently Masons. How many priests who provide the sacraments to their unsuspecting flocks are Masons? How many bishops are Masons?
These are questions which are almost impossible to answer, given the secret nature of Freemasonry and the stigma which rightly surrounds Masonic membership by Catholics - despite Fr Hackett’s open-arms policy. What are we to make, then, of a priest who links bad behavior by an Australian Archbishop with Freemasonry? He makes no direct accusation, but lays the blame for problems in the Archdiocese of Perth specifically, and with COVID-happy prelates generally, at the feet of the Masons.

The priest, Fr Andre M. Feain, is a member of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate, and is currently at Our Lady's Chapel, New Bedford, MA. In a sermon recorded in February of this year,2 Fr Andre criticizes modern prelates who accept government handouts in return for enacting coronavirus restrictions in their dioceses and suggests that the Church has become “a social club.” He rightly points out that novel “doctrines of men” have replaced traditional Catholic teachings, specifically citing the Archdiocese of Perth’s vaccine clinic as an example.
Fr Andre pulls no punches, saying that it is “through their own stupidity” that the Perth Archbishop and his minions believe that the ‘vaccines’ are safe, even though they have not been tested. He goes onto say that the Perth Archdiocese is complicit in the Freemason’s goal of reducing the population via the abortion-tainted ‘vaccines’. The priest continues:
“So, what’s going on? We hear about bringing Christ to the world. We hear about bringing the people to Christ, but when they open the doors, they let the ideas of the Freemasons come in and permeate. And instead of speaking Christ to the world, they’re speaking about man’s implementations of rules and regulations. They are actually sending the message out - the Freemason’s message. They’re doing the opposite to what they should do, and it’s about time people started to yell and scream and make it known louder and louder ….. [The Chanceries] are in cahoots with the Freemasons and the Freemasons are laughing, “We gotcha!”…”
Fr Andre spent ten years in the Archdiocese of Perth and that during this time saw “... the cloud of Freemasonry entering into many ecclesiastical men. It is a thinking that is damning and brings about the diminishment of the salvation of souls.”

It is refreshing to see a priest courageously exposing the fundamental problem facing Catholicism: that Freemasonry and its philosophy have usurped orthodox teaching and that men who hold those false ideas have been elevated to the highest positions in the Church.Every other problem stems from this fact: that Modernism was introduced through the deliberate action of the Freemasons and their accomplices. When a priest like Fr Andre preaches on the spirit of Freemasonry abounding in an Australian diocese, he is only confirming what the Masons stated as their goal in the Alta Vendita almost two hundred years ago.
Archbishop Costelloe has also lately come under scrutiny for his shocking treatment of his Archdiocese’s Latin Mass parish, whose land he attempted to sell from right under the feet of priests and faithful.
The Archbishop of Perth, Timothy Costelloe, is a prelate on whom it is worth spending some time. His Cathedral’s jab-clinic was the subject of a Remnant article3 earlier this year, but that isn’t the only controversy surrounding his Archdiocese. Archbishop Costelloe has also lately come under scrutiny for his shocking treatment of his Archdiocese’s Latin Mass parish, whose land he attempted to sell from right under the feet of priests and faithful. So far he has been prevented from doing so by a series of legal actions on the part of the parish priest, Fr Michael Rowe.
The saga has dragged on for more than three years, but in short, Archbishop Costelloe planned to redevelop the land on which St. Anne’s, home of the Latin Mass parish, stood, without consulting either Fr Rowe or the parishioners. Fr Rowe’s attempts at finding a resolution through Vatican channels failed and he has had to resort to civil action. There is much more that could be written about this prelate: from the parish priests he has ‘cancelled’ and left to find work at hardware stores, to the several tragic cases of priests committing suicide on his watch.
The episode establishes a shameful pattern of ill-treatment by the Archbishop against his people. It is not the first time that he has attempted to sell land without the knowledge of the Catholics who thought that their apostolate’s site was secure. Some years ago, the directors of Perth’s Catholic disability-care organization, the Emmanuel Centre, discovered that Archbishop Costelloe had plans to use their site for other purposes. In circumstances similar to those experienced by Fr Rowe, an Archdiocesan spokesman unexpectedly arrived and announced that the property was to be sold. That case was eventually settled without the need for civil court action, but this was not without significant stress and confusion for the Emmanuel Centre’s employees and clients.
Unfortunately, Fr Rowe’s case has not had a similar resolution, and he is now in the unenviable position of considering the feasibility of taking his Bishop to the High Court, Australia’s supreme legal authority. This is not a step that any priest would take lightly, but Fr Rowe is left with little choice, as the Archbishop has shown no willingness to negotiate. In fact, Archbishop Costelloe has not answered letters from Fr Rowe, nor taken the opportunity to meet with him face to face, and even refused to attend court mediation.
But just as it is possible to look at the fruits of Bergoglio’s papacy and identify the perfect model of a Freemason-inspired reign, so it is possible to look at the career of Archbishop Costelloe and identify the perfect model of a Masonic prelate.
Archbishop Costelloe has been a divisive figure since he first took over the Perth Archdiocese in 2012. Right at the outset of his appointment, he made an astonishing choice for the new Archdiocesan offices: he moved them to the former headquarters of the Freemasons of Western Australia5. In response to a query as to whether the building had been exorcized before the changeover, this author was told by a Catholic from Perth that “it doesn’t even have a chapel”.
There is much more that could be written about this prelate: from the parish priests he has ‘cancelled’ and left to find work at hardware stores, to the several tragic cases of priests committing suicide on his watch. In this age when the ‘pastoral’ approach trumps dogma and morality, this man is as much a father to his priests as the gene serum spruiked by his chancery is a vaccine.
Obviously, there is no proof that Archbishop Costelloe or any other specific Australian bishop is the member of a secret society such as Freemasonry - although it would be helpful to hear Masonic membership being condemned by more bishops. Moving his offices to a former Grand Lodge or, as in the case of Jorge Bergoglio, being photographed with a hand hidden in a jacket, is simply not conclusive evidence.
As Fr Andre said, the Chanceries are in cahoots with the Freemasons and the Freemasons are laughing. Laughing because they have gotten away with so great an infiltration and have made life miserable for so many faithful priests.
But just as it is possible to look at the fruits of Bergoglio’s papacy and identify the perfect model of a Freemason-inspired reign, so it is possible to look at the career of Archbishop Costelloe and identify the perfect model of a Masonic prelate. In neither case, does pope or bishop need to be proven to be a Freemason: it is the Masonic programme itself that infects and dominates.
As Fr Andre said, the Chanceries are in cahoots with the Freemasons and the Freemasons are laughing. Laughing because they have gotten away with so great an infiltration and have made life miserable for so many faithful priests. Laughing because they have destroyed the flame of charity in so many lukewarm Catholics. Laughing because even with evidence of the infiltration, no bishop is willing to take them on.
May God protect Fr Rowe and the parish of St Anne’s and grant that they are never completely overcome by the cloud of Freemasonry. The Masons hoped and dared and worked towards electing ‘a pope according to their needs’; it appears that they have found a bishop who likewise can be relied upon to act ‘according to their needs.’
