#SaveChristmas Rally Press Release

Date: December 12, 2020
Time: 11:00
Location: Capitol Mall, St. Paul, Minnesota

Last month, Governor Tim Walz informed Minnesotans that he would be regulating how and with whom they could “legally” celebrate Thanksgiving in their own homes.

The governor also shut down area restaurants — establishments with an excellent track record of keeping their patrons safe during COVID.

With Christmas approaching, the Governor will most likely crack down on Minnesotans’ right to celebrate the holiday, again in their own homes.

We believe this unconstitutional tyranny must stop.

The facts speak for themselves: Out of population of 5.6 million, 4,292 deaths from Covid have occurred, 300o of which in long term care facilities.

With the CDF reporting a recovery rate of 99.4 percent, we believe we have a right and even a duty to tell Governor Walz to reconsider his approach, to allocate more taxpayer dollars to protect the most vulnerable, and to let Minnesota go back to work, back to church and back to celebrating our holiday traditions as they see fit as citizens of a free country.

On Saturday December 12 at 10:30 AM, concerned Minnesotans will assemble in St. Paul for the purpose of sending a message to the governor:  Law-abiding citizens, entrepreneurs, business owners, families and church leaders have had enough!

The #SaveChristmas rally will be a 1-hour silent prayer and protest against encroachment on the constitutional right to freely assemble.

The #SaveChristmas rally will take place on the Capitol’s lower mall. Attendees will be standing in formation for one hour in defense of the Constitution of the United States and the most basic civil liberties of a free people.
