REMNANT PREVIEW: A Letter from the Editor

Dear Friends in Christ the King:

Some good news!  As part of our ongoing effort to keep the print edition of The Remnant going to press every two weeks, I’m happy to announce that The Remnant is teaming up with Professor Roberto de Mattei—the highly esteemed historian and President of the Lepanto Foundation in Rome.

You can read Professor de Mattei’s excellent “Church in Crisis: The Final Act of Vatican II” in the new print/e-edition of The Remnant. By the way, the Professor’s work will be available in our print and e-edition only, as an incentive to visitors to our website to also take out a subscription to the newspaper—the financial lifeblood of this apostolate.

Everything truly Catholic but Internet-based will, in the months and years ahead, be subject to more and more governmental regulation. And I have no intention of turning the entire traditional Catholic press over to the Christophobic Gods of Cyberspace.

The Remnant’s print edition must survive!

bookAlso in this edition: The kick-off of our new series: The Pioneer Traditionalists Were Right!   It’s based on  “Spectrum of Catholic Attitudes” (Edited by Robert Campbell, O.P., in 1069), which featured interviews of leading Catholic spokesmen—including William F. Buckley, Frank J. Sheed, Marshall McLuhan and Remnant Founder Walter L. Matt—on controversial issues in the immediate aftermath of Vatican II.

This first installment pits Walter L. Matt against William F. Buckley on probably the most controversial issue of 1969: Contraception.

We’ve also got another blockbuster from Chris Ferrara, along with some good news out of Russia from our friend and Moscow colleague, Elena Chudinova.

All this and a new Remnant cartoon, as well as the very latest on the Remnant Tours’ return to Chartres in 2019, followed by five nights in Austria and Hungary.

You can check out the full Remnant Preview HERE.

By the way, we’ve released a new RTV Short called “Cardinal Cupich to Organize Vatican Meeting on Clerical Sexual Abuse”.  Less than three minutes long, this is well worth sharing with friends and family.

Check out what’s new from RTV HERE

We’ve also got some Remnant gift ideas ready for Christmas delivery.  The Sacred Heart U.S. Flag, for example, “V is for Vigano” hoodies, Remnant T-shirts, the free Sacred Heart lapel pins, etc.

Check out The Remnant Store HERE

That’s all for now. Thanks very much for your continued support of The Remnant and keep the old Faith.

In Christo Rege,
Michael J. Matt, Editor, The Remnant
