Yet again Francis has told us what he thinks, yet again the Church is rocked by scandal, and yet again the Vatican has had to issue a “clarification” in an effort to calm the storm. As the whole world knows by now, during rambling remarks at a “pastoral conference” for priests of the Diocese of Rome at Saint John Lateran on June 16, Francis declared that “the great majority of our sacramental marriages are null” because the spouses “don’t know what they say” when they say “Yes, for life.”

But Francis is also “sure” that couples in the countryside of northeast Argentina who cohabit out of the husband’s superstitious fear of marriage vows, avoiding Catholic nuptials until they are grandparents, have “a true marriage, they have the grace of marriage, precisely because of the fidelity they have.”

A popular conservative radio host with a daily audience of 20 million is known for describing Liberalism as a mental disorder; or put another way: Liberals are lunatics. From a purely natural point of view this would seem to be the best explanation for the radical unreasonableness of liberals. Liberals defy reason, even acting against their own good

Nigel Farage, leader of the Independence Party in the UK, has claimed victory in the EU referendum for the Leave campaign. The UKIP leader told supporters at a Brexit party: "Dare to dream that the dawn is breaking on an independent United Kingdom."

With 335 out of 382 results declared, the BBC forecast a Leave win and they turned out to be quite right.

Last weekend at many of the parish masses, the announcement was made from the pulpit and in the bulletin that this weekend’s second collection was for Peter’s Pence. As most Catholics understand, Peter’s Pence is the charitable fund for the Holy Father to dispense to his favorite charities. The USCCB provided sample bishop letters on its website for the solicitation. The Bishop’s Letter read as follows:

“Through the Peter’s Pence Collection, we stand in solidarity with Catholics all over the world to support the charitable works of our Holy Father. Contributions to this collection support Pope Francis as he reaches out to those suffering the effects of war and violence, natural disasters, and religious persecution.”

It is becoming apparent to this writer that many people, Catholics and non-Catholics alike, are waking to the harsh reality of what Pope Francis is all about. The next step is to help these same good people understand the harsh reality of what the entire Modernist revolution has been about ever since the days of St. Pius X, when popes were still vigorously battling this great ‘synthesis of all heresies’.

The Modernist revolution ‘came out of the closet’, if you will, at the time of the Second Vatican Council, but nowhere was its agenda made more abundantly apparent than in the systematic destruction of the Roman Rite, which took place in the aftermath of Vatican II and with the full blessing of the Spirit of Vatican II.

Once it is understood why Modernists at the ‘heart and bosom’ of the Church attacked the Mass first—because it was the liturgical stronghold, if you will, in which Catholic doctrine had been protected for centuries, and in which even the Latin itself made experimentation and novelty nearly impossible, and which day after day reinforced Catholic ideas so repugnant to Modernist notions of ecumenism, dialogue, universal salvationism, and ultimately the false moral liberty (a mere extension of the Modernists’ crowning achievement of a false religious liberty) on which the rise of abortion, contraception and the destruction of Christian marriage were wholly dependent—then it is easy to understand what’s been going on in the Church for a long time. Quite simply, we are all the victims of a massive Modernist coup d’état, for which our poor, beleaguered pontiff is nothing more than the ultimate poster boy.

Victor Manuel Fernández, known as “Tucho” to his fans, is very tight with Francis, his fellow Argentinian. So tight that within three months of his election Francis made Tucho a bishop and then, a month later (June 2013), appointed him titular Archbishop of the titular See of Tiburnia, named after a defunct ancient Roman city in what is now the Austrian state of Carinthia.

Tucho is thus literally the archbishop of nowhere. But the impressive title credentialed him to serve as the go-to guy for the heavy lifting of drafting three meandering, book length excurses presenting Francis’s painfully passé seventies-era, liberal Jesuit “vision” of the Church and the world. Evangelii Gaudium, Laudato Si and Amoris Laetita (AL) all exhibit the Touch of Tucho.

On May 9, 2016 you published on “The Remnant” website an open letter to me regarding the question of the Apostolic Exhortation “Amoris laetitia”.

As a bishop, I am grateful and at the same time encouraged to receive from a Catholic layman such a clear and beautiful manifestation of the “sensus fidei” regarding the Divine truth on marriage and the moral law.

“All the kindly statements made on the Mass from Rome console old folks for whom the reforms of the Council came "too fast" and sometimes with unnecessary "insensitivity – but no one has said the reforms were wrong. They have refused to face the issue, – which is not nostalgia on the part of-those "who feel close to some older liturgical forms," but the shipwreck of the Catholic Church. I mean a new Mass, a new catechism, a new morality, a flagrantly mistranslated Bible, an architecture and music which constitute a thoroughly orchestrated and rehearsed attack on Catholic doctrine and practice.” - John Senior

The Knights of Columbus Woodlawn Council 2161Traditional Latin Mass Guild annually holds a Traditional Latin “Blue Mass” to honor the police and law enforcement officers in the Beaver County area of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Police cars are blessed before the Mass and a banquet with speakers is offered after the Holy Sacrifice. Many people attend who are not a part of the Latin Mass community, including judges and elected government officials. It is the Knights hope, through our Traditional Latin Mass events, to bring Novus Ordo Catholics to Tradition; and perhaps even lead non-Catholics to consider our Holy Catholic Faith. The following sermon by Father Cizik was delivered on May 14, 2016 at Saint Titus Church in Aliquippa:

My dear friends –
Catholics (even our Divine Saviour Himself) have traditionally used St. Peter’s fishing boat as the symbol of the Catholic Church. I think more accurately, though, given that the Church here on earth is also called the Church Militant, the ancient Roman war galley, called a “trireme” after the three banks of oars used to propel it into battle, is a more apt symbol. Yes one may fish from it, but more practically, Catholics, especially confirmed Catholics, are obliged to wage war from it, war against error, against heresy, against moral depravity, in a word, against the spirit of this world.
