STABAT MATER: Standing With Mary at the Foot of the Cross

After Vatican II, a good and holy priest who’d refused to offer the New Mass (and was thrown out of his own church for it) predicted that the day was coming when the faithful remnant would be sustained by recourse to Our Lady. At the time, he said: “Should they take away the Mass completely, you will always have recourse to the Rosary and the Scapular, so learn to use these lifelines right now, before the darkness descends over the earth.”

In the middle of Lent 2021--when the whole world was turning against Christ and the darkness was descending— Francis & Co. canceled Masses at the very heart of Christendom, just months after having rejected as “foolishness” the Marian title of Our Lady Co-Redemptrix and Mediatrix?

Is this a sign that is time to stand with Mary at the foot of the Cross, to await the Resurrection of the Mystical Body of Christ?

Michael Matt comments on the role of Mary in this revolution against her Son.
