New Year's Resolution from Remnant TV...

2020 pope too big

As Pope Francis’s popularity among practicing Catholic falls to new lows, RTV releases a New Year’s resolution video, vowing to resist him

As Pope Francis’s popularity continues to plummet among faithful Catholics, he has managed to maintain popularity with one demographic: Pro-abortion “Catholic” Democrats. A Pew Research poll from last year revealed that the share of Catholics who have a favorable view of the pontiff is "22 points higher among Democrats than among Republicans.”

It remains to be seen by how much that number increased in 2019, when Pope Francis the Politician made it pretty clear that Trump the Wall Builder needs to be defeated in 2020.

_______________

Ironically enough, it appears that Francis’s wall-building nemesis is more popular than ever:

  • Gallup’s Dec. 2-15 annual poll results are in, and President Trump tied Barack Obama for “Most Admired Man” in the world.
  • According to a new Zogby poll, Donald Trump’s overall approval jumped to 50%, and he’s now leading all the top Democratic presidential candidates in the 2020 race for the White House.
  • And according to a new nationwide poll from RealClear and EWTN News, “Catholics who say they accept all Church teachings are more likely than other Americans to say they are planning to vote for Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election.”

The fact that the Pope-loving Democrats—headed up by the insufferable Nancy “I’m A Catholic, Really I Am” Pelosi—are trying to impeach the most pro-life president since Roe v Wade provides a pretty good indicator of where things stand over in the New Springtime of Vatican II department.

Anyway, none of this matters to Pope Francis who has obviously thrown his zucchetto in the ring for most admired man in the New World Order. On December 20, 2019, a few days before Christmas, Francis invited UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to the Vatican for a joint press conference to talk migration, climate change, disarmament, and the implementation of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

By the way, readers may recall that it was Guterres who appointed trailblazing abortion promoter, Michelle Bacheletm, to lead the UN human rights office last year. According to C-Fam.org, aside from having successfully campaigned to decriminalize abortion in Catholic Chile, Bacheletm is also an aggressive supporter of the homosexual agenda, having introduced homosexual marriage legislation in Chile’s Congress. Bacheletm is an international abortion advocate, having systematically promoted abortion at all levels of UN engagement, including in war zones and through direct interference in the internal legislative and judicial affairs of states.

Proving once again that Pius XI was quite right when he noted in Quadragesimo Anno (1931) that no one can be at the same time a good Catholic and a Socialist, this radical pro-abort was appointed by Antonio Guterres -- a Socialist Catholic.

Anyway, last week's joint press conference between Francis and the Portuguese, Catholic Socialist, Taizé attending, pro-abort promoting Antonio Guterres turned into quite the mutual admiration photo op:

Guterres bent over backwards to express his “deep appreciation” for Francis’s “extraordinary service in promoting interfaith relations – including your landmark declaration with the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar on human fraternity for world peace and living together.”

Back in August, Bishop Athanasius Schneider took a slightly different approach to this when he warned that by implementing the Abu Dhabi declaration the Vatican is betraying ‘Jesus Christ as the only Savior of mankind’.  But what does Bishop Schneider know! He’s just another rigid, pharisaical, neo-promethean Pelagian. Or was it a neo-Pelagian promethean? One loses track of the ubiquitous insults Francis has leveled against faithful Catholics since his arrival on the Vatican scene. Anyway, it’s not good.

Pope Francis, of course, stuck to his guns by solemnly assuring the UN Secretary-General that “confidence in dialogue between people and between nations, in multilateralism, in the role of international organizations, in diplomacy as a tool for understanding, is indispensable for building a peaceful world.”

You know what they say about those who do the same thing over again but keep expecting different results. This setting aside of doctrine and the Truth of Jesus Christ in the name of peace is a kind of madness which has accomplished exactly nothing good so far.

The "peace in our time" that set in after the 1986 Assisi World Day of Prayer for Peace, for example, included the onslaught of perpetual war, omnipresent cameras and metal detectors, September 11, 2001, legalization of gay marriage and abortion even in Catholic countries such as Ireland, global persecution of Christians and Jews, mass apostasy in the Church and a worldwide state of fear and unrest in the world.

And yet, as they plant another stupid tree somewhere, these same Vatican II bureaucrats prattle on about how what the world needs now is not the Truth of Jesus Christ but just a little more love sweet love. All they are saying is give peace a chance, as they look for another gun barrel in which to stick one of their dead daisies.

Please, when will these delusional old hippies give it a rest?

Everyone can see through the style-over-substance pontificate of Francis...even the Protestants, one of whom noted the following of the Francis/Guterres Christmas meeting: “Francis revealed the dogma that he intends to replace belief in Christ as savior with last week. He is advocating for Catholics to unite behind a one world government and surrender their freedom and sovereignty to international interests.”

Our protestant friend isn’t far off the mark. Francis push for a one world government is not only driving a new wedge between faithful Catholics and the ever-growing number of post-conciliar apostates, but it's also driving ever deeper the old one between Catholics and Protestants.

So eager is Francis to impress his globalist friends, that he might just succeed in derailing the entire ecumenical movement. And here, at least, we can all say with una voce, “Long live the pope!”

Of course, Francis couldn’t let his UN photo op pass by without a bit more papal chest-beating over how woke he is on climate change:

All the cool kids are into climate change hysteria these days—Bono, Gore, Soros, Bergoglio, Greta:

Thanks, Greta! And do call us when the shuttle lands (in a sane world, this poor little girl's mother would be brought up on child abuse charges).

Anyway, back to the VaticUN’s December 20th press conference. The bro-love became positively Hallmarkian when the Secretary-General reminded the world of how onboard Francis is with the population-controlling Sustainable Development Goals: “I am very grateful for your exceptional global engagement and strong support for our work in the United Nations, including your memorable visit to the UN headquarters in 2015, as the world reached agreement on the Sustainable Development Goals, our blueprint for a fair globalization.”

We’ve produced several RTV programs on exactly how the SDGs promote abortion and contraception worldwide, but here’s a graphic reminder, just the same:

Meme Good SDGs

Oh, and once again, Jesus Christ—the One who Francis is supposed to represent here on earth—was conspicuous by His absence from the December 20th Vatican/UN lovefest.

Happy Holidays, Holiness!

I’m not sure if Francis still claims to be Catholic or not, but it’s a bit off-putting even to many observers in the media when the head of the Catholic Church seems positively hell-bent on alienating his own Catholic people.

As he throws his considerable papal weight behind the globalist agenda, Francis is alienating not just American Catholics, but millions of practicing Catholics worldwide.  And, of course, he’s not particularly interested in winning any of them back. They/we are just the thing he needs to throw under the bus in order to prove his undying loyalty to the globalist agenda.

Shane Trejo writes: “Pope Francis’ war on traditional Catholics has been ramping up recently, and he castigated Catholics who believe in tradition and refuse to warp Biblical scripture to appease a godless world for creating a ‘minefield of misunderstanding and hatred’.”

Indeed, and when the Climate Police and LGBT Gestapo come pounding on your door in the middle of the night, don't look for any help from the good, old Holy Father.  Climate change denial, religious supremacism, moral shaming—these are the “hate crimes” of which Francis is already accusing us. When they get around to stoning us, he'll be the guy holding the coats.

At the moment, however, there are still some "rigid" and "pharisaical" shepherds standing between the sheep and the Vatican/UN wolfpack. Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, for instance, has had quite enough of Francis.

This 21st century Bishop of Rochester took umbrage with the Pope's controversial homily on the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, in which the pontiff seemed to want to curry favor with the world by showing how ready he is to demote the Mother of God. Viganò took him to task for that, of course, but then doubled down on Bergoglio’s pachamama stunt at the Amazon Synod, insisting it was a “declaration of war against Our Lady”:

Papa Bergoglio uses the pachamama to rout the Guadalupana. The enthronement of that Amazonian idol, even at the altar of the confession in St. Peter’s Basilica, was nothing less than a declaration of war on the Lady and Patroness of all the Americas who, with her apparition to Juan Diego, destroyed the demonic idols and won the indigenous peoples for Christ and the adoration of the “Most True and Only God,” through her maternal mediation. And this is not a legend!

In a letter translated by LifeSiteNews’ Diane Montagna, Archbishop Viganò accuses Francis (whom he lambastes as a ‘modernist’ and a ‘liar’) of helping to deliver a “death blow” to the Catholic Church:

Now the Church is lifeless, covered with metastases and devastated. The people of God are groping, illiterate and robbed of their Faith, in the darkness of chaos and division. In these last decades, the enemies of God have progressively made scorched earth of two thousand years of Tradition. With unprecedented acceleration, thanks to the subversive drive of this pontificate, supported by the powerful Jesuit apparatus, a deadly coup de grace [death blow] is being delivered to the Church.

With Pope Bergoglio — as with all modernists — it is impossible to seek clarity, since the distinctive mark of the modernist heresy is dissimulation. Masters of error and experts in the art of deception, “they strive to make what is ambiguous universally accepted, presenting it from its harmless side which will serve as a passport to introduce the toxic side that was initially kept hidden.” (Fr. Matteo Liberatore SJ). And so the lie, obstinately and obsessively repeated, ends up becoming “true” and accepted by the majority.

Finally, the Modernist infiltrators of our Church have outed themselves, and Archbishop Viganò is among the few good shepherds left in the Church today who will be silent no longer.

And it’s not just Francis. In his letter, Viganò refers to the entire Novus Ordo Missae as “the conciliar disaster”:

“A few weeks after the conclusion of the synodal event, which marked the investiture of pachamama in the heart of Catholicity, we learned that the conciliar disaster of the Novus Ordo Missae is undergoing further modernization, including the introduction of “Dew” in the Eucharistic Canon instead of the mention of the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Most Holy Trinity.”

New Year's Resolution

On this New Year's Eve, let us ask God to bless and keep the few courageous bishops who are willing to put everything on the line to oppose and expose Francis.  Let’s resolve to stand with them all, including Burke, Müller, Sarah, Vigano, Schneider,Brandmüller and the growing list of priests and bishops around the world who can no longer allow their own silence to give consent to Francis's globalist and radically modernist agenda.

This war is far from over, and the pontificate of Francis may well become the Waterloo of the entire Modernist Revolution, but there's work to be done.

For God’s sake, brothers and sisters in Christ, do not abandon the fort at this crucial moment. The pontificate of Francis is a dumpster fire that will only get worse in 2020, and we need to resolve to get the word out that Francis is on his own, that he has disenfranchised the flock, and that we faithful Catholics stand with the good bishops who oppose his radical agenda.

To that end, please share our 2020 New Year’s Resolution video with friends, family and on social media:

With God's help this New Year's Eve, let's resolve not to desert our Church in her time of most need, but rather to become better Catholics, better soldiers of Jesus Christ who will, in God's Name, resist this United Nations pope to his face. When he undermines doctrine and tradition, he does not speak for faithful Catholics. He does not represent us. He becomes the wayward shepherd who has abandoned the flock and joined the wolves.

If Francis is the chastisement, let's also resolve to demonstrate total fidelity to Jesus Christ and to Catholic Tradition until God in His mercy raises up a truly Catholic pope who will lead His Church out the chaotic darkness of the New World Order and back into the holy peace of the Lumen Christi.

In the meantime, let us pray for the conversion of Pope Francis.

Deus Vult in the New Year.
