Christopher A. Ferrara:
The Heresy of “Discernment”

This new and terrifying Bergoglian innovation reduces to single subversive pseudo-doctrine, which now joins the others (e.g. “dialogue,” “ecumenism,” “collegiality”) that have proliferated in the Church since the Council. Like the other pseudo-doctrines, it in turn is reducible to a single operative word with immense but never openly explicated consequences: “discernment.”

Michael J. Matt: Happy New Year: An End-of-the-year Remnant Update

A Prayer for the New Year

O sacred and adorable Trinity, hear our prayers on behalf of our holy Father the Pope, our Bishops, our clergy, and for all that are in authority over us. Bless, we beseech Thee, during the coming year, the whole Catholic Church; convert heretics and unbelievers…

Anthony Mazzone:  Snakes on a Plane

Liberals to the right of us, Socialists to the left of us, Modernists all around us: into the valley of post-Christian apocalypse we ride. With madness feeding on craziness how do we speak to one another of sanity? How do we maintain harmony of soul? Regain the stability of order that provides ballast through the tribulations of life?

Maxine Moore, Ph.D.   The Land Where Jesus Walked

This is a revealing, first-hand account of one Christian’s visit to Bethlehem, having to navigate the politics, the unrest, the trials and tribulations of life in the city where God was born—a city as torn apart today as Christianity itself.

A Holy Priest on Trial

In the days before the "Church of Accompaniment," some Catholic priests accompanied Christ all the way into the darkness of a Soviet gulag for 15 years.

Please, God, bless your suffering Church with more Catholic heroes like him.

Material prosperity is all well and good, but not at the cost of the loss of the Beatific Vision and an eternity in Hell, or at best a painful passage through Purgatory. How can it be that such a simple fact eludes so many?
