Returning to the discussion of reclaiming our Catholic Holy Days. In our last issue, we covered the Advent Season which has substantially disappeared since Vatican II, at least in how it is observed. Many Catholics today “deck their halls” well before Thanksgiving, which gives us some indication of how much has been lost. Can you imagine Muslims celebrating Ramadan a month early? It’s unthinkable, but only because most Muslims take their faith seriously.

These solemn words, with which the Holy Scriptures speak of the divine Wisdom, are attributed by the liturgy to the Most Holy Virgin (it is the Immaculate Conception who speaks):

“From the beginning, and before the world, was I created, and unto the world to come I shall not cease to be, and in the holy dwelling place I have ministered before him. And so was I established in Sion, and in the holy city likewise I rested, and my power was in Jerusalem. And I took root in an honourable people, and in the portion of my God his inheritance, and my abode is in the full assembly of saints.” (Ecclesiastes 24:14-15)

As Catholics, we know that the Blessed Virgin Mary is full of grace. We profess this belief every time we say the Hail Mary. In today’s gospel and offertory, we read of St. Gabriel saying unto Mary “Hail, (Mary), full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women,” (Luke 1:28, Douay-Rheims). The dogma of the Immaculate Conception, which we celebrate today, says that Mary “not only never lent an ear to the serpent, but by divinely-given power she utterly destroyed the force and dominion of the evil one.”

Mary, Full of Grace

By:

A Pew Research Center survey of 6,485 U.S. adults from September 20-26, 2021 (Few Americans Blame God or Say Faith Has Been Shaken Amid Pandemic, Other Tragedies) yielded further evidence that the fruits of Vatican II’s ecumenical experiment have been putrid. The headline findings from the survey included the following:

  • Catholics twice as likely as Protestants to say people who don’t believe in God can go to heaven
  • Most Catholics, but not most Protestants, say some non-Christian religions can lead to eternal life

Details of the survey indicate that only 16% of Catholics surveyed (compared with 31% of all Christians) replied that “my religion is the one true faith leading to eternal life in heaven.” In addition, 72% of Catholics responded that “many religions can lead to eternal life,” and 61% of Catholics responded that “some non-Christian religions also can go to heaven.” Presumably an even higher percentage of Catholics would have responded that non-Catholic religions can lead to heaven were it not for the fact that 10% of so-called Catholics responded that they did not believe in heaven.

Indeed, if Francis’s version of Catholicism is right, how can we avoid the conclusion that the efforts of St. Edmund Campion were misguided at best and very likely wicked?

New RTV. Caught on tape -- my harrowing escape from OMICRON.

In this episode of The Remnant Underground, Michael Matt narrowly escapes OMICRON, which has found its way into Flyover Land. He asks the question: Everybody scared enough yet?

Great men are ordinary men with extraordinary determination. ― Abraham Lincoln

ORDINARY CATHOLIC PRIESTS found themselves in extraordinarily dangerous circumstances under the anti-clerical, Socialist regime in Mexico.

Father Mateo Correa Magallanes (1866-1927) was no exception. Even though facing arrest and possible execution for each religious act of his Catholic vocation, the man of God persevered and continued to tend to his persecuted flock, arriving at his new pastoral assignment, the parish of Valparaiso, on March 1, 1926.

So now it’s the “Omicron variant,” which, like the “Delta variant,” is said to constitute an “emergency” because it is “potentially more contagious.”  There are zero active “cases” of Omicron in the United States, but rest assured “it’s coming,” says the loopy Governor of New York by operation of law,  Kathy Hochul,  who is doubtless delighted at the prospect of a new pretext for imposing her insane “vaccine mandate” on healthcare workers in the state, which has decimated the state’s health care workforce.  Hochul has publicly declared that COVID vaccines are divinely inspired and that those who refuse them “are not listening to God and what God wants.” Had Trump said anything of the sort about his “Operation Warp Speed,” the entire mediatic complex would have denounced him unceasingly for violating the separation of Church and State. But since the words came from the mouth of a Democrat governor, the Ministry of Truth had no pronouncement on the matter.

The Democrat Plague

By:

Italian

In a recent interview on Swiss television, Archbishop Arthur Roche, Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, and a key figure in the implementation of Pope Francis’s apostolic letter restricting the celebration of the traditional Latin Mass, Traditionis Custodes, asserted:

“The normal form of the celebration of the Roman Rite is found in those documents that have been published since the Second Vatican Council. Ecclesia Dei and Summorum Pontificum were established in order to encourage the Lefebrvrists, above all, to return to full unity with the Church.”

Not everything about the COVID plandemic was harmful to the cause of Catholic restoration. Let's face it, the "Old Normal" was becoming pretty Christophobic in its own right.

At this point, there's also no pressing need for us to speculate about what the enemies of the Cross have in mind for the world once the Catholic Church has been fully coopted. We are living through the very nightmare warned against by pioneer traditional Catholics some fifty years ago, i.e., lockdowns, closed churches, violence, persecution, the rise of the globalist superstate, the breakup of the family, a one world religion, the end of law and order, etc.

In a word, Chaos! Christless chaos.

In this Sunday Sermon from South Saint Paul, Father draws an analogy between what's going on globally today to what was happening inside the walls of Jerusalem in 70 AD. That was AN apocalypse. Is this THE Apocalypse now?

In this RTV Special, Michael Matt is interviewed by the high school students of the Youth Apologetics organization. In the wake of Pope Francis's crackdown on Traditional Catholics, the students ask Mr. Matt to go over the history of this movement and to help them develop strategy moving forward based on how traditionalists did it back when Mr. Matt was a boy.

Complete with photos and vintage video clips, this one might be called Traditionalism101, as Mr. Matt takes us back in time in order to prove his point that we're much better off today than the pioneer traditionalists were back then, right after Vatican II.
